Fish balls and fish cakes are very Q and fresh. The meat balls are quite special as the middle has different kind (different taste and texture) of minced meat as compared to the outer layer. Mee pok is cooled nicely, al dente, slightly firm when chewing. Chilli paste is quite spicy but blended well with the mee pok and pork lark.

It’s been almost a decade since I had their noodles and it’s still good and the uncle at the store (now with funky glasses) is still as friendly as ever.

I tried Veggie Balls Noodle (Mee Kia). Tasty veggie balls and the noodle seasoning is just right. It’s not so overpowering like many fish ball noodles out there. Fresh fish cake and nice noodle texture hence it’s four stars.

Look at the amount of oil from the Laksa! ? Don’t order their Laksa, it is not their specialty.

The seasoning is more on the sweet side with ketchup, doesn't really suit my taste. Average BCM.

Bak Chor Mee (SGD $5) @ Original Botanical Garden Famous Fishball Noodle. . Love the rendition here, because of their generous ingredients and punchy gravy. . Their gravy is more spicy in taste, with the chili building in heat as you eat. The mee pok / wide flat egg noodles are a good foil, springy and picks up the gravy well. . The pork meat balls have a hollow center, filled with minced pork and meat juice, bursting with a lovely meaty savoury salty sweet flavour . The soup is clear but holds good taste, with seaweed, lettuce, and spring onions lending a vegetal earthy sweet note. . There's a good portion of tender braised mushrooms and minced pork too. I like adding bird's eye chili with this.

More known for their fish balls since 1966, the $4.00 Laksa is not bad. The gravy is laced with too much chilly oil. However, we like the smooth and generous amounts of fish cake that makes up for a relatively good Laksa. Stall accepts QR Pay

First time to Serangoon Gardens food market, was overwhelmed by the amount of choices available. Decided to try out the lively decorated "Original Botanical Garden Famous Fishball Noodles"... Chose their Laksa, as someone bought it just before me... Add Noodles, add Hum, add 2x Meatballs... Sgd7.50 for the whole bowl... Was very delighted to find the laksa thick, rich and creamy. The noodles were plentiful and delicious. Overall the fishcake and gravy delicious
