★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fragrance emitting from the wok brought me from the nearby Kallang estate food centre to this old school coffeeshop. Both black and white carrot cake were good. With strong wok hey, and just the right amount of moisture. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The white here is very good. Black is nice too. The only gripe is the small amount you get for $5. Recommended normal serving here would be $8 per pax. See spoon for comparison. One packet is definitely not filling at all. Otherwise shiok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As good as fried carrot cake gets..the radish was savory salty,the kway was not your run-of-the-mill kway but had a nice bite and mouth-feel to each bite,and the black sauce used was of very high-grade and quality. You couple all that with the expert skills of the wok-master & the cacophony of a well-oiled orchestra will be playing in your mouth,its that addictive. So glad that i managed to try it for breakfast as they almost always sell out before 10plus in the morning daily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried with strong heat, black version comprising of almost half eggs and half carrot cake. Good dose of garlic and sweet chopped radish bits for another layer of fragrance and texture. Not to be missed for carrot cake fans, suggest on site consumption for the best experience!
