Food very delicious and still warm even after delivery all the way to our place at bukit batok ... Really have wok hei 镬气 !!! recent trip to the eatery - superb! price is very reasonable and economical! love the handmade toufu which is nicely pan-fried outside and extremely silky smooth inside. Prawn paste chicken is fingerlicking juicy and tasty.

Service is bad & rude. sit down on a table with not much ppl ard. Was told to move to a smaller table at the edge of the sitting area. More ppl come and the waitress did not come over after 30min. When asked why the waitress not coming to take our order, the waitress screamed at us that we did not order early when they did not even come over. rude and bad attitude. Will never come again!!! NOTE: My friend did try to order early but was told to wait as they are busy!

Amazing food. Just simple ingredients executed perfectly. We love all of the dishes but key highlights are the beef horfun, fish head steam boat (which has a very rich yet fresh flavour) and seafood white bee hoon. It was a busy night so we had to wait for about 20 minutes but most of the dishes arrived right after one another. Top 3 zhe char of my list.

There is no service at all and they are very rude. We are there on the table for 30min there is no one service and I have to go the counter to get my own drink. In the end the service stuff look the order from the other table and ignore us because there is only 3 of us. Will not recommend anyone to go there for the food.

We ordered red grouper charcoal steamboat,($45), homemade tofu with mince and beef horfun for 2 pax. The total bill is $66/-. Its not crowded on a Friday evening, but its still around 20mins wait for the food as there are several takeaways. Limited sheltered outdoor seating in a coffeeshop setting, well ventilated with ceiling fans. No reservations, only walk-ins. Its a satisfying meal, the broth is well balanced with herbs, sour plum, ginger & dried sole fish for the extra umami flavour and with chunks of fish meat. The server lady kindly gave us a free refill of the flavourful broth without us requesting. The tofu tasted soft and tasty with a light hint of egg.. definitely homemade. The beef horfun has the wokhei taste! Sorry no pics for the 2 other dishes as we inhaled the food before we could take pics. Will definitely be back!

Want to support local business but left with such big disappointment. The auntie anyhow charged the price to her liking. I ordered sliced fish soup big size ($10 on the menu) but she charged $15, and Ribs King medium ($10) she just put $12 at billing. The serving size was also quite small and there was NO ribs at all - cheap pork meat was used instead. Shortchanging the food and bumping up the price at the same time. Nice.

Had heard good reviews about the HorFan here so was eager to try it out. The whole experience was interesting to say the least. Despite only three tables being occupied and about another 6 empty we arrived, thinking seating shouldn’t be a problem. Rather than wonder over to any table we decided to ask the aunty managing the the service. But when we asked her anything, she waved us away as if she was too busy. Despite the fact she wasn’t doing to much. Not to give up, we waited and got her attention and were told to sit at a table. Which we did, and then waited some more. After a good while, we realised she want bringing menus over and wasn’t taking our order. Rather than leave, we decided the battle for our HorFun was on. We managed to finally get her attention by following her around with the menu (which we got ourselves) until she took our order. Finally she relented and our food was ordered. I’m not sure if this is part of the experience or just an off day from the servers. But eventually we did get our food and to be fair it was pretty good, with a mix of seafood and meat that was blended together with some masterly ‘wok-hay’ skills. Whether we’d be back again for the ordering ordeal, we’re not so sure, but if you fancy a challenge getting your food ordered, be sure to check it out.
