★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been with Orpheus for some time now and completed both my Advanced and Rescue Diver courses with Lester. Coming from an instructional background, I've always been impressed with the way Lester conducts his courses as well as his MOI or method of instruction. He's always been able to answer questions satisfactorily and taken time to reiterate points if necessary.
One more point that I found really good is that Orpheus certifies good divers who can perform the necessary diving skills and not just about anyone who expects to clear for having paid fees.
A dive company with integrity and a must visit for anyone passionate about learning diving well.

I signed up with Orpheus Dive for the Rescue Diving Course in 2020 during phase 2 Circuit Breaker. Having only been diving in much clearer waters around Malaysia, I was initially worried about the safety with the limited visibility in Pulau Hantu. But Orpheus never disappoint - they patiently addressed all the concerns that I had & the small class ratio was also an important factor ensuring maximum safety considerations.
I’m extremely glad to have found Orpheus Dive & will recommend anyone who’s keen on exploring the underwater world this awesome school!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks to Lester, Mark, Derek and Coral for my Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Sidemount. Instructors always taking care about me, make sure I get everything right and not rushing for certification.
Didn’t do my nitrox here, but Orpheus still offered to revise my knowledge on nitrox without asking for anything.
Appreciate all the efforts the shop put in to train me into a good diver.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time trying scuba, doing a referral course. Had an awesome instructor Daniel who was super thorough. He did a great job in a crowded pool. Introduction to equipment, swim test, what to do when things go wrong, theory and practical, what to do when mask fills with water, if the second stage comes out, and neutral buoyancy. I felt very safe, instructions were clear, and class moved at a comfortable pace.
Areas of improvement:
I think the business WhatsApp could be a bit better at providing next steps, as sometimes I felt a bit lost, and was not given info unless I asked for it (such as how many pool sessions and dives are necessary [1 pool 4 dives], location, name of instructor, how to identify this person).
For reference to anyone reading this review, the theory videos should ideally be completed before pool time, and typically only 1 pool session (3 hrs long) is necessary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Orpheus Dive is a team of highly qualified educators. They are focused on making their students capable and independent divers rather than solely handing out certifications. I have learned a lot from them (Lester, Coral, Derek, Nicholas, and Mark) and continue to learn more- the culture of this shop is just great. The team is also very knowledgeable about equipment care and maintenance. It's an attention to detail that can only come from decades of experience. If you have questions/problems with your gear, this is the place to visit! Overall, since the first time I have interacted with them a year ago, I am happy and grateful for the experience and continuous education I have received. I am excited for what the future holds for this shop- they are dive visionaries!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Orpheus Dive is a highly recommended Scubapro service centre. Brought 2 sets of mk25 S600/R295 for annual service.
Technician was very knowledgeable, experienced and meticulous. As good as factory new sets. Downtime was short (2-3days) and price was reasonable. Thank you Lester and Coral!

I had zero knowledge about diving and was very nervous at first, but they professionally taught us without rushing at all. All the other instructors are also very helpful and they can address your concerns in a very responsive manner. This will be my to go place for diving related activities/course in the future, thumbs up for this dive company!!!
