Pandan Reservoir Park - 700 West Coast Rd

A reservoir surrounded by a levee, must climb up a stairway, up the embankment to see it. Nicely maintained gravel path roughly 6.4KM long with a few rest shelters along the way. Fishing with no live bait allowed at certain spots. NB: Turn left exiting ulu pandan park connector, travel about 50 metres, opposite direction towards west coast park, where you will reach a stairway up the reservoir, opposite a secondary school.

Ideal place to cycle in the morning.

Came here for sunset after seeing some online recommendations but it was too cloudy. Not crowded. The tracks are not paved and the kind with small gravels. If the plants along the reservoir grow well it should be quite a view.

Quiet and vast reservoir. There is a fishing spot in a corner. There are also otter sightings if you are lucky.

Lovely place for a longer walk or run at sunrise or sunset though I would prefer a proper pavement. Full loop around the water is 6km and the most pleasant thing (especially for cyclists) is that the path is never crowded. As a bonus, you might just chance upon the reservoir’s resident otter ? family.

One unique place in Singapore. Very well maintained and with water sports activities. There are also many creatures living in there.

Sunday morning 26/6/22. Begin our leisurely ride from Jurong East near Genting Hotel. Passed trough Teban & into the park. The weather was fine but hugh chunky clouds are forming on the horizon. The place was not crowded at all which was great. Saw a beautiful rainbow! From the park we cycle to Heavenly Wang at Ng Teng Fong Hospital Tower B for breakfast. We then continue our ride through the PCN again to Bt. Batok which near where my friend stays. By this time it was so sunny we decided to take a break again near Blk 156 St.11 where we saw a tent sellng durian by Top Durian Station! Sat down, bought $30 worth of D13 & D24 durians to enjoy. YUMMY!!! Stayed for about an hour & saw lots of people eating durians at lunch which was incredible! The seller was doing a brisk business. The place was almost cleared out by the time we are leaving. After seeing my freind off, I continued my journey back to home base in Jurong West.

Review written on: 10 October 2021 The entire perimeter around the reservoir is about 6.2 km. The track is gravels of rocks (nice crunching sound) and its a different feeling compared to the regular running tracks. There are shelters provided along the track. However, there is no shelter from trees and its a very open space. If you plan to take a stroll or a run in the mornings, time it accordingly (6.2 km) to avoid the hot sun. Water fountain and washroom is provided near on end of the track. I think evenings would be better for photography if you are into capturing Street lamps. I started my run a bit late in the morning and mid-way, the sun got out and the running was no longer enjoyable. The view is beautiful. Sit along some of the benches provided and take time to enjoy the view.
