★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great way to try out kayaking or canoeing! You have to check when they are open to be able to paddle, as well as look out for weather. Category 1 (lightning storms) will stop ALL outdoor activity, and there is little shelter or things to do in poor weather so come prepared.
You will be able to see schools or teams training in their racing kayaks or dragonboats occasionally too. The National Schools Canoeing Championship as well as the National Schools Dragonboat competitions are held there. If you'd like to watch such races, check the race schedules with PA Paddle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small outlet a short walk from the bus stop and car park. No showers.
Lockers available for a small fee. Kayaks are pretty heavy and its a quite a walk to the launch site which is pretty rocky.
Lots of dragonboats and racing kayaks around. The demarcated area for kayaking is between a fishing zone and the racing lanes. Not the best place for paddling unless you're living in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ today 2019 june 16(Sunday), went single kayaking on BR. ?♀️. Was dressed like going for a swim in the swimming pool. Was a hot hot afternoon. but nice clean kayaking. very calm water. Restricted to about 1/5 area of BR and away from the main thoroughfare of the dragon boats. But good enough at $9 for 2 hours. This month has promo...1-4-1. 2nd kayak is free. Cheap good fun. Safe for family outings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is just out of bounds to the public. Went on Tuesday, told me that it's maintenance day. asked me to go one pa website to book. Asked the guy how to book, he hoodwinked me by saying the booking horizon only opens at Tuesday night. Tried again at night, and never saw any way to book at all. Good job guys, there's no need for you guys to do any work then and continue getting paid by taxpayers for doing nothing ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to rent kayaks. Staff are friendly, there are lockers and a water point. Only thing is Google maps point to the wrong place, which is the kayak storage area. It should point to the office which is 50 meters away
