Passionkites

Very bad service. Abeng and chinese gangster attitude. No knowledge on kite parts. Does not accept card payment. Lucky didnt buy from them. Only scooter shop now....

PassionKites used to be a proper kite shop. This unit is now basically an online business and is just a warehouse. They have a retail outlet 2 mins walk away but this does not sell kites (only scooters and plastic phone covers). When I actually tried to buy a kite at the warehouse they informed me that they did not accept card or cash payments and I had to download an app called "shoppy" or something to pay. Also I had to have browsed the kite online first so that I could ask them for the exact model or they would not be able to serve me. In short they practically did everything possible to prevent me actually walking in and buying a kite. This is not what I look for in a kite shop.

A quick review of Passionkites USA prices indicates they want US retail prices for their products. Overseas shipping charges will be added. Therefore, the only reason a USA buyer would deal with Passionkites is to obtain an item that can't be found by other means. Too, you may expect that the ware-housemen at Passion will simply clerk out the items. There is no quality control. Know this before you buy and be prepared to make repairs accordingly.

I just visited the kite shop last week. This is actually my first time buying a kite for my daughter. Unfortunately, staffs were all busy with the scooter ambiance. Anyway, the staffs were quite approachable, especially the lady who patiently assisted me the whole time with the parts I needed. Thumbs up for her unusual customer oriented service. As for the product, some minor issues which cannot be seen during the initial inspection (Kite reel is not properly aligned, used line were seen and connected at the middle part of the spool.) which I don’t think it’s the seller’s fault, this is sometime a tricky strategy on the part of the manufacturer. Nonetheless, Complain will not solve the problem. “Problems are nothing but wake-up calls for creativity”. Welcome to the DIY world. Suggest to do some research on the kite you wanted to buy before heading to this shop. Just a piece of advice. Well, I still give this shop a thumbs up. Appreciate the effort for continuously and keeping our throwback outdoor activities rolling. As kids now a days prefer playing indoor games. Flying a handmade kite was one of my childhood outdoor hobby. It creates an excitement, joy and accomplishment once you have finally seen it fly into the sky. This is probably one of the most priceless experience I would like to pass on to my kids. Wishing all the best for Passion kite. Thank you!!!

Currently in the midst of transitioning from 05-05, then now temporarily at 02-07, which will eventually be at 02-08. Do read up on their website on confirming the location of the store, which is what we did. And just so you know, 05-05 has a sign that says "THIS IS NOT PASSION GADGET".

Do note that the address is different from what was posted here. The one stated here is their PassionGadgets store, specialises more in IT gadgets and e-scooters. Bought kites online and collected it at the warehouse. Was pleased with the whole process. Fast and efficient. The kites were good although I bought the simple kites for kids to fly.

Had a really good experience with Ryan there, who very patiently went through usage instructions regarding the kites I bought. Everyone was busy but they were still really warm, and I ended up purchasing a seat post from them for my bike as well. Thanks Ryan and team!
