Pasta & Co. - Fortune Center #02-17

Average pastas due to a lack of consistency in cooking. Prices are on the pricier side if you are visiting without promotions. The best of the lot was the mentaiko tagliatelle, it was cooked well & the sauce was on point. The truffle cacio e pepe was not bad too, the lunghi pasta was cooked well. Not sure why but I didnt enjoy lamb pasta with goat cheese. The saving grace was the lamb sausages which I enjoyed. The worst of the lot was the beef ragu. The beef itself came in dry cubes. Mushrooms were flat. The sauce itself was ok though and the onions were great. My main issue rigatoni the beef ragu was the rigatoni. The pasta was uncooked, and I’m saying this as someone who enjoys slightly undercooked pasta. It was hard and the rigatoni came in broken pieces as per the picture. I understand broken pieces can sometimes happen in dry pasta, but I’m not sure why they would happen for undercooked fresh pasta... The french onion soup was salty & one dimensional - not the kind of french onion soup you would expect... Mozzarella sticks were just mozzarella sticks. Overall, I will definitely come back for their mentaiko spaghetti. But they do need to desperately look into improving the consistency of their cooking. They definitely have the potential to serve good pasta, but only with more consistent cooking times.

Food was pretty okay, but good to make reservations especially on a weekend as it may get pretty crowded. Tried their calamari, truffle fries, soft shell crab, mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, and vongole. Used Burpple 1-for-1 but was kinda weird that one of the staff mentioned that we had to order a total of 3 mains (3 of us) when we wanted to just order 2 mains using the Burpple deal (?) Anws, thoughts on their pasta in general: nothing very special nor unique and maybe the flavouring could be better improved on. Mushroom risotto was pretty good although my friends said that it wasn't cooked long enough so that's why we could taste the wine.

We ordered two carbonara dishes. One with squid ink. It is ok. The other one is roasted capsicum with paprika spaghetti. That one is bad. The pasta noodle texture was quite hard. Felt undercooked. The mushroom soup is great. Price is slightly steep for such normal portion. We were seated outside area, next to and right below the escalators, and I got mosquitoes bite.

The overal 3.7 stars google review is not accurate!! You need to know which pasta goes well with which sauce, it makes a lot of difference! Freshly made pasta. Three dishes we had (pictures) are superb. Mamma Mia! Next time, I will only order full portion when i am super hungry because it’s huge! *chef kiss

Friendly and helpful staff make this a pleasant enough experience, despite the limited seating and awkward menu; you choose from a range of four to five pasta to pair with the sauces, but since it's not easy to know which pairs work best, it easy to be overwhelmed. The good: good flavours, very good textures, enjoyed especially the lamb merguez. Staff. The meh: the extra seats outside marrs the dining experience. Prices are bit high. Menu takes a while to digest for first timers. And you need to have exceptional palette to taste whatever is in the pasta from the sauces. Reservations required for peak periods. Walk-ins risk being seated in the "romantic" section.

A cosy and home make experience. The pasta texture is recommendable. The sauces which I had tried are surprisingly good. However on the tomatoes base pasta I felt the cream was introduced too much which cause one to feel too overwhelmed after finishing the whole meal. The price is a little too steep for the location.

Small restaurant so best make a reservation. Food quality is good but with a small kitchen and only 2 person preparing the food, expect a slightly long wait. The Pasta Alla Vodka is worth a try.

Kinda odd to find a Italian pasta restaurant on the second floor of Fortune Center, in the middle of bunch of other Asia varieties. The decor also makes it stand out. Very hard to miss on the left after coming from escalator. Came here for lunch on a week day and it was not very busy. Excellent pasta variety of choices. Great that they offer tasting portion so you can try more flavours and combinations. Definitely enjoyed the visit and will recommend for anyone to come even if you are not into Italian food cause they have laksa ?
