Tldr; Future customers be warned of getting a male masseuse from this place. I have been going to this massage place for quite some time and the female masseuses are excellent. Techniques are on point and pressure is up to standard, always feel very refreshed after the massage. However this time round they asked if they could assign a male masseuse to me, not informing me what the difference will be, so I assumed it was okay and just said ok. The male masseuse is excessively rough and exerts a lot of force on my bones and entire body. It hurt tremendously since he does not massage the correct points and when I told him that it’s very painful, don’t use so much pressure, he just laughs it off and say oh it’s because you use too much computer, bend too forward. I’ve been an avid go-er to massage places and this particular masseuse seriously lacks the skill to be considered one. Halfway through the massage and I broke down and started crying and had to ask for replacement because he was really too unprofessional and just damaging my back and neck. I honestly felt I was about to sustain an injury if he continued on. I have been massaged by male masseuses before and they were fine. It’s this particular one that just uses brute force. Finally he got another lady to massage me and the massage was good from there. Seriously regretted having accepted that male masseuse. The receptionist also failed to inform me that it will not be the usual full body massage with oil and I only learned about it after the 1 hour. Still had to pay full price for the disappointing and bone breaking massage.

Was massaged by an older guy who was mainly using a lot of brute force and massaging mainly my shin/calf area rather than my actual 2 feet. I left having not had an enjoyable massage but didn't say much because I decided to let it go (no point especially during tough covid times). The next day, red boils started to appear on both my shin/calf areas - it got really inflammed over the next few days (hurts to walk and painful to touch). I went to see a doctor on Monday after the weekend and he gave me an ointment and MC. He understood that the massage was the likely cause of my skin infection - I am certain that there are no other variables (personal hygiene, clothing, weather, personal activities) that could have caused this. Also, this is not my first foot massage and I have not had such a bad infection before /ever. I called the massage place after a few days with the intention of understanding how this infection could have happened. I asked about the cream and hygiene at the place and the lady on the line was immediately aggressive and very defensive and started saying things like: 1. This thing go see doctor la (which I did) and this one not our fault one 2. Cream we use government approve one (but she didn't explain or tell me the brand or contents) 3. Said why you want to sue us or cause us problem (which I never had the intention to) 4. Started to threaten to hang up. I was a bit startled at the lack of care / compassion shown to a customer in pain and while she also said that she will inform her boss, I had to call back twice again over the next 2 days as I had yet to receive a reply. The subsequent calls also showed me a lack of concern (they kept interrupting my call because "there was a customer" and kept saying that all this while there was no problem with their operations. I am leaving this review not because I want to be compensated or refunded etc. but rather due to the complete lack of understanding, care and compassion shown to a customer.

It has a very calm feeling when i enter. Staff was friendly. By far their masseuse knew the points and hw to tackle my soreness and pain. Only little improvement maybe is, while massaging, the masseuse could just focus and not talk among themselve because some customer like myself prefer some peace, relaxation and quiteness.
