*Update* I'll add my update because I can see Mr Lim trying very hard to cancel/discredit the review. Once again, clearly there are many perfect reviews and happy customers so my experience might just be the exception. If so, please support them. I'm just sharing my experience in case it's useful to others, I'm pretty sure that's what reviews are for.. I've also raised my rating to 3-stars just to be neutral, and the word 'con' is in the context of pros & cons. They are not a con! They are a legitimate business. *Original*: I wanted to share my review as I had originally chosen QMI Toughguard because of the 5-star reviews on Google, but my experience with them was not great and I'm surprised no one has shared a similar experience. I sent my car for their ceramic coating in July 2020. Pros: - Azmi was there on time, so I did not have to wait - Azmi explained the different products and tried to upsell me on different things [some people may see this as a negative, but he wasn't too pushy] - Mr Lim was responsive and helped arrange a slot quickly - Good price [but maybe you get what you pay for] - When things were done badly, Mr Lim was prompt in trying to understand what happened and offered to re-do the service (which I declined because I was very disappointed, and it was a 20min drive for me each way, so it was a write-off for me) Cons: - I paid for the full works but even the basics were not done! Azmi tried to demonstrate when I picked up the car, the 'water repelling' effects. Turns out, the windscreen wasn't even done, and he realised it, and quickly did it on the spot (very badly done - a lot of streaking and unevenly applied, and not enough drying time) - The inside of the car was meant to be cleaned as part of the package, completely not done. I know because the mats had leaves and dirt when I dropped it off, and it remained that way. Azmi rectified it on the spot quickly. - Turns out, Azmi said someone else came to do the work (originally I said it was outsourced, which was my assumption) - There were some white spots, which Azmi corrected on the spot - There was paint droplets on my bonnet! I'm not sure from where, but it was a brand new car. Mr Lim offered to pick up the car to get it fixed, but I wasn't comfortable entrusting the car back to them. Luckily, I managed to gently scratch it out (maybe due to the effect of ceramic coating? not sure, but luckily it didn't stain) All in all, I was very disappointed but maybe I was the exception because all the other reviews seem to be good. Either way, I just wanted to share this here for future potential customers.

My BMW was coated by QMI ToughGuard about 2 years ago. Although the coating are still there as can be seen from the water repelling and shine, I went back to them for additional stacking coats of 2 layers. The price is still reasonable and services great. But I noticed the next day that my front passenger seat underneath was still dirty and not vacuumed properly. I called Mr. Lim and he apologize for human error and immediately arranged for me to come back to do the touch up. I am glad that their after market service are still good. In the past, when my vehicle got a minor scratch from bumper brushes, they helped me to resolved without charging me. Highly recommended without worry as they are serious to help customer needs even after you already paid them.

Really competent and customer-focused. Before and after the service, a clear explanation and walkthrough are provided. Thank you QMI, Grace, and the team who applied a titanium coating to my new automobile for a job well done!

My first ceramic coating was what I chose. The workers were quite patient in outlining the features and distinctions of the bundle. He also went through everything in great detail with me after collection. Not to be forgotten is Azmi, who handles my booking with patience and promptness.....

Tried & Trusted QMI Toughguard when i purchased my car. Here's my view of their products and services: 1) I would say their boss service level is pretty good and responsive, so kudos for good customer service. He tries to fix issues asap. 2) Mr Azmi who is the detailer isn't the best i would say. In my opinion, he is a person who throw lots of smoke for newbies. If you do not have sufficient knowledge, you will be easily smoked by him. 3) After the coating work, I have to waste a return trip back to Mr Azmi as there are still some stains which weren't corrected well. The shop lighting isn't bright so we have to drive up to the top floor to see and rectify. 4) This review is written 6 months later after my coating is done. So this would be able to judge how good is their product. - There's rain mark is easily visible after 6 months (i always try my best to wipe the car after it rains). Even after going back to the shop for rectification (it's free and good will through the warranty) , the rain water mark cannot be cleared and Mr Azmi advised that it is not possible even after 6 months of coating. He wanted me to wipe the car every single time it rains. (But if that's the case, i don't even need a coating protection isn't it?) Truth to be told, I do wipe my car whenever possible, and i wash my car every week with clean water mainly. - I do have some scratches on my side of the car (i believe due to other car hitting my car when opening) and Mr Azmi said that it is not possible to rectify it. (Quite disappointing for me, because the coating don't seems to be able to protect my car well, unlike how they market it) - Mr Azmi attitude is really not good in my opinion, so for the rest of you, you may try his services at your own risk. Overall, i think the work is satisfactory but if given a choice, i wouldn't recommend their services to my peers.

I am writing this review to show my appreciation to the QMI team who provided me with good service and miracle product that transformed my car looks to become like new expensive car that I want to share and benefit those who got budget spray painting. I am driving a 2007 Civic and was considering to keep the COE car right up to its expiry since I had invested quite a substantial amount of money in the mechanical replacement and repair. Thus, recently I send my car for a respray at a budget cost using the same red color code. I was disappointed with the new spray paint coat as it did not delivered to what I had expected. The shine was dull and unimpressive. I got the painter to do a polishing but expectation was still in vain. I googled and read from Facebook that QMI coating can create shine and protection and went to try their service and product. To my amazement after the treatment or coating, my vehicle paint was transformed into a glassy shine that gloss out like glass and it looks very different and as if I had a 4k expensive new paint or new car. I am indeed happy with the change of shine and reasonable pricing this company offered. I could sincerely recommend those who has a new fresh coat of paint that do not gloss to try their product and be very surprised.

My second vehicle that I have brought here for the ceramic coating and related services. Very welcoming and competent staff that goes above and above to deliver excellent service. Anyone who appreciates maintaining their car would do well to choose QMI ToughGuard.
