Had Omakase for the Valentine’s Day. I would said their service is superb and I would rate 4 stars for this, for food, only 2.5 stars. it is a bit disawppointed or my expectation too high? Let’s start on Starter: salad with vege and raw fish + mayonnaise. Normal, it is just starter Assorted BONZAI: consist lotus root (the lotus root is super raw, but good thin slice) potato salad (mashed potato kind) tuna mix ( this one considered really good taste) Warm dish: meatball with soft bone inside give a crunchy bite. Slightly sour aftertaste which I think from the seasoning? Common just like how you cook chicken meat ball at home Seasonal sashimi: good decoration, but it is really very common. It is fresh, but this also not impress. 2 pcs each type, so total a 6 PCs considered not very big PCs of sashimi. Seasonal grilled fish: just grilled fish, fresh fish, can taste the sweetness from the meat. But that’s it. Seasonal fried dish: not a tempura person, so the 3 tiny pcs is just nice for me. Yes, 3 tiny fish as tempura, a bit fishy but overall acceptable We top up for the TKG + alpha box and ICU Don. TKG + alpha : egg white Don + shredded black truffle. Hmm well, I can’t taste or smell any truffle taste from the black truffle at all. Is it different grade or what? It is different to what I had before, and it taste a bit crunchy texture. So this is overall a very fancy food, but definitely not worth you to try it :) ICU Don: Ikura: good quantity. Caviar: okay. Uni: not really creamy and taste good. Donki one better than this. For the rice Don, salty is the only thing I can describe. Don’t ever pour anymore soy sauce. Overall is bland, raw and nothing impress me. Not flavourful, just fancy and eat the “experience”. This is definitely overpriced and yea, only 1 time I won’t be back here.

Small place with lots of potential to improve. Although the omakase is very well priced feel like people would be ready to pay a little bit more for a few dishes that could be more complex.... Also a decent sake list and attentive Japanese style service.

Cosy place on Tanjong Pagar Rd serving excellent obanzai and sake. Cold obanzai were delicious - special mention to their homemade tofu, very creamy and flavorful! The chicken tsukune was really good too. Will definitely come back to try more.

Friendly Japanese staff, great sakes, affordable authentic food. Brings you back to Tokyo. Take the Omakasen with the suprise box if want to impress your date.

Have ate from Tokyo and back but first time tried Japanese drunken prawns which was fantastic. Service from Julien was superb.

Value for money omakase. Fuss free, no frills. Pretty small hole in the wall store. Ingredients were fresh and pretty decent. Presentation was unique as the chef clearly had some affinity towards Doraemon. Portions were pretty good sized, not too large where you will feel bloated neither was it too tiny where you will need to drive thru MacDonald's on the way home.

Had the Omakase set. The food was pretty interesting and very pleasant on the palate. Really enjoyed the chill atmosphere that they had. Plates were all very beautiful and the had a good selection of sake.
