★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sampan boat ride was ok but I must say the way to get tickets is really inefficient. For mbs members you wld still need to join the normal que and the staff at the counter is slow in dispensing the tickets. Be prepared to buffer at least 1.5hrs. 15 mins ride time and 1hr+ of queing time..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be prepared to spend more than an hour waiting for a sampan ride @MBS . Again it was a Saturday. Spend over an hr to do a 15 mins ride ? You decide . But it was a pleasant ride to the climax of the waterfall. Boatman was chatty and made the ride a little more lively .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience. We had to split up into 2 sampans as we were a group of 5, but Ain our boat woman and her mentor,(my wife's boat man did'nt remember his name) made the whole experience a memorable one.
We got to catch the last waterfall from the vortex.
Ride was short, boatman and boat woman made all the difference in the experience.
Would have been more fun to ride this sampan in the reservoir.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique and short experience. Kudos to this young Chinese female staff with a cute voice, sorry didnt manage to get her name. She was mending the boat and was knowledgeable in explaining the monuments. Friendly and this should be a benchmark of customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and kids visited MBS today and took a ride on the sampan ride ($13 per person). It was a very enjoyable ride and both kids had a lot of fun.
As soon as they alighted, my 2 year old was handed a plastic photo snow globe with their pictures in it. Being a 2 year old, he obviously wanted to keep it despite us not wanting to purchase it. We ended up paying $30 for a piece of plastic with low resolution pictures in it.
What a dirty trick to sell souvenirs to tourists - through child manipulation. I encourage you to skip the sampan ride. If you absolutely must ride it, watch out for the scam artist that will slip a souvenir into the hands of your child so you’re manipulated to purchase it.
I will not be visiting this tourist trap again.

But actually it is just a boat going 1 round the fountain..
I think it is the only boat trip in SG now...
Other than Hwa Pha Villa.. the boat into the dragon
..Which is also been taken off.
Only kids above 1.2m can get on the sampan
If u spend enough in casino or shopping...
You get 2 tickets free very mth to get on the ride
