★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was pretty good but the service was, how do I say it, weird. They seemed pretty uninterested in being there or serving us. We went into this Izakaya and when we asked for a drink menu (we weren’t given one) we were told “don’t have”….it’s an izakaya, half the point of its existence is drinks, not to mention you’re surrounded by empty alcohol bottles on the walls. The food menu was okay but fairly sparse compared to what I’d expect from an izakaya, only about 3 pages worth of bites.
One other kind of strange thing was that they couldn’t accept Amex. They had three Amex stickers on the door and gave me the bill in an Amex branded booklet.
Generally just a bit lack luster. Hopefully they improve because it’s a cool little spot with potential.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a pleasant experience. Staffs are attentive albeit a bit short on number. Foods took quite some time to arrive but taste wise it's nice. If you're searching for a less chaotic vibe than the usual western bar, this place would suit you nicely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A new izakaya that looks inviting enough, however the service was lacklustre. Seating hostess and the service staff were uninterested and the only saving grace was the gyu donburi.
Isn't it standard practice to wash clams before cooking them? One that I was served here (sake clams) was dry and gritty.
Sashimi were barely passable and my sake had a faint hint of Vegemite to it. Perhaps too much koji? Twas an interesting experience to say the least. Will not be visiting back here.
