The cheapest hainese chicken rice I've ever had ? the perfect, small and delicious meal at SGD 3.50 only! My friend loved her noodles which set her back only SGD 5.

Pig trotters sold at this stall is just comfort food. $4 for a plate comes with a braised egg and rice. Value for money. The meat very tender and the fats soft. Soaked well with sauce. Do ask for more sauce to drape over the rice, mix the egg yolk together with the rice, great combination.

Long established, located opposite Harbourfront, this is a go to pit stop before couples, group of friends and families head off into Sentosa for a hearty quick fix breakfast to fuel up for the long day ahead. Food options are plenty and value for money. For example, black coffee at 70 cents, where else can find such a cheap coffee in Singapore? A surprising find today was freshly fried vadai, an Indian snack that was very flavourful. Good food centre to drop by en route to Vivocity or Sentosa.

Food was ok, but service was real real bad. Ordered a small duck rice, asked for it without skin, uncle said only big plate can, ask for yam rice, uncle said only big plate can, but the yam rice was default coz it was stated on the sign board, then only he relented. Ask for more chilli uncle said only big plate can? ? looks like they are real stingy. It was $3.30 for a decent amount of meat tho. Wonder why they don’t increase their prices coz they seem rlly miserable charging that amount. Had the char kway teow too. Same experience when asked for more chilli. So as for the oyster omelette. ($3.50 each) affordable and rlly can’t get prices like this anywhere else. Only the sugar cane had no problems. $1.40 (without ice)

If you are looking for delicious Hawker food in the South, Seah Im Food Centre is the place to go. I particularly like the selection of Malay food stores with a variety of dishes that's a delight to get through!

If you're craving for a good bowl of beef soup (including tripe and all the other fixes) or Pad Thai, you can head to Thaksin Beef Noodle to enjoy them. The food centre itself can be crowded, but SMM is in place, and seats are crossed out to ensure safe distancing.

$3.30 for the duck rice takeaway. Was not bad no wonder the long queue everyday. The yam rice was great and tasty. Will definitely order as it is one of the more affordable options.

A place that I always visit in my teens. Cut hair and even made my first secondary school long pants there (>20 plus years ago). Market is great. Some of the old stores are still there. Food varies in price. Some stores are cheap ( compare to other branches) and there are older stores that sell very tradition old school styles cooking method ( made bring back memories but may not appeal to everyone)
