Called SMC TC today 23 June 2018 at 830am. TC friendly staff answered my call and took down my request to turn off the water value outside my flat. 2. Two unfriendly foreign EMSU staffs came onsite to turn off at around 1010am with just one tool. 3. Just wanted them to wait for me for 10 min while I change the leaking tap, but was turned down and told me that I can buy their same tool and do it myself. they also told me that they have a lot of same request today 23 June 2018). 4. At 1015am, Carry called me to inform me that EMSU staff already onsite. But true face was, action had already completed. Her response and call centre service need lots of improvement, where she keeps saying cannot hear me. Truth fact was, I can hear that the whole voice carrier was controlled block off and on from EMSU site. Being that I am standing at the area where my digital TV was where the wireless signal can reach the broadcast host. Question of facts were 1. why need 2 person to do a simple job? 2. We had paid over $100 to TC every month after it increases. Such a simple request cannot fulfill? 3. Why EMSU staff ask us to buy our own tools. But facts was, I already had it and was working while I stayed in another HDB new flats 13 years back. Had no issue DIY, without calling TC. 4. Had shifted to a resale flat already 8 years. Now had issue turning off the value due to the rustiness. Even with WD40 wouldn’t work. Why isn’t TC or Its contractor has no such maintenance? 5. At about 10.30am, I have completed changing the tap. Called TC, but routed to EMSU. Just need your advise on the TC operation hours on Saturday. 6. When TC phone routed to EMSU at 10.30am I informed Kelvin that I am ready and request to turn on the value. Had again given my address and unit number. 7. At 11.30am, Vami called me. She informed me that her on site staff knock on the door and the man inside the house said didn’t call TC to turn on the value. Checked with my neighbour and they went to the wrong unit. Had since then requested again for them to come back and again given my address and unit number. 8. At 1150am, finally 1 friendly EMSU staff came, with a tool bag with different tools. He managed to turn on my value. I even told him that I need him to feed back to his office to change my value since was rusted. He agreed. On the other hand: Now my area is doing renovations by the TC, including painting the whole flats within my area and even hacking the common corridor floor, lift lobby, common walk way, etc. The common walkway was fine and no adnormal or unusual path, why wast the $$$$ ? Why don’t use it to maintain our water value so that it is not so rusty? Even the hacking of the walkway surrounding the flat was closed off (as noted last night around 8pm 22 Jun 2018) and allow one small pass through. This will endanger the human life during emergency, such as fire , etc. There are no alternative route. Can we request to have a few route open by putting some soft board on the ground while the construction stop during the night? MP Amin, for your necessary response and actions, please. Poor customer service. Called to feedback on unattended bicycles left at staircase and void decks. Town Council has pasted the removal notice since 6months ago but no actions were taken to date. Called them today and the lady is so impatient and wanted to hand up when I have not finished my sentence. Just commented that we will look into it and rushing to hang up. What a poor experience I had
