The bak kut teh stall is one that I have patronized over the last 40 years. Owner is a very kind guy. He offered me free meal several times when I was a kid and couldn't afford it. Remembered this kind deed and still go back today.

expensive, portion small and uncle rude... 没人品 (if we dont eat from your stall, dont need say sarcastic remarks one. even if magi mee, also taste better compared to listening to your rude comments.)

Love the BKT here! The soup came piping hot, though i would like it more peppery. The pork trotter was soo good the meat was soft and tender, and the pork skin was soft and full of collegen. As a teochew, we will definitely order the "black fish" which is full of meat. All you need to do is peel off the skin. It comes with a soybean paste sauce but make sure you request for vinegar from them to make it better! Taukee was soso only, good enough for a side dish. Feel free to bring your bowl back to the stall to top up your soup.

BKT packs a bomb of flavours! Meat is tender to the bone. Soup is clear type. Can taste their secret herbal formula. I hope the queue of people here know that herbs in the soup are a kind of tonic! ?

Nothing special about their bkt. Owner and staff not very friendly. Got scolded for asking for more soup. Apparently only one refill of soup is given.

I've always remembered them to be one of the better pig trotters around.. so this revisit disappointed a little. Think the standard dropped a notch, both the flavor and the trotters itself (the lean portions were a tad hard, and the skin/ fats not soft enough too). Compared to the fast expanding Lin Ji (who specializes only in Teochew pig trotter rice), this is below the mark.

The pork trotters - Well balanced taste, not too salty or overpowering from the spices. The front hock’s tendon was cooked to a perfect texture. The pork skin were equally good
