★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paid $3 for each plate of wanton and dumpling noodle. The noodle was between springy and hard. The soup was bland. The dumplings were ok but the taste of the prawns were not distinctive. The wantons were disappointing as they tasted a lot of flour. The char siew had a lot of fats. Service by 3 elderly women were fast but I had to repeat my order 3 times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With so many variants of wanton mee all over the island, it's quite challenging nowadays to flock back to one with old school tastes. But this stall fits the bill.
At S$3 at this point of writing, the sweet flavour of the chilli on this plate hits home for me and I like my noodles slightly hard that gave a good chew. The dumplings in the soup were good too. If only the char siew was served in thicker slices though, instead of bits and pieces that were served at the point of order.
The stall aunties were friendly too. I'd come back again if given the chance.
