Neighbourhood school. Most of staff are diligent and professional.

It is a nice place to learn and play in, also my school

This is best school, the only problem is the fact that the school has troublemakers. But then again, ehich school doesn't?

SKGP is relatively a new school. All my three sons are studying there. I like the school teaching methods and for the past 3 years, all new Pri 1 for Phase 2C needs balloting in order to get a place in it.

I study at this school (Still am, P6), The school is good with nice staff members and teachers. Education is good here too. The discipline here is also fair. Students going to out after school: Whatever happens outside of the school (Students going to malls after school, hanging out witthout permission, etc.) Is not really the school’s fault but their parents fault for not teaching their kids discipline..The school does not allow students to go out to nearby shopping malls after school and were told to go home straight, but students still won’t listen. Mobile devices: Students were caught multiple times playing or bringing electronic devices to school, Be aware that the school prohibited the students from bring electronics to school without a reasonable letter to the principal. Once you are caught bringing or playing mobile devices without a letter, the device is confiscated and parents must come to the school and pick it up (You might get detention,caning, etc.). School already have Electronics (ipads and laptops) for studies. Bullying: The school is strict with bullies, If you are caught bullying. You will be sent to the Discipline office or principal’s office, Your parents will receive a letter as the first warning, second may be detention, and third is canning/suspension, then finale it will be given a “Fair” or “Poor” conduct grade. Sometimes, even getting the police involved. Cheating and forgery of signature: School is very strict about cheating during exams and forgery of signature, once caught, the possible consequences is that you will get a zero for your test, self-reflections, detention, suspension, caning or given a “Fair” or “Poor” conduct grade. Theft/Damage (Vandalism) of property or even Arson (Setting school on fire or playing with fire): This is one serious offense, school is very strict about this that NOBODY has ever try doing it. Possible consequences: Counselling and verbal warning from teacher, Self-reflection, conferencing with parents, payment for damages, Detention/corrective work, suspension, Caning, Given a “Fair” or “Poor” conduct grade, Police involvement. Assault, Fighting, Gambling, Gangsterism, Possession of weapons, Smoking, substance Abuse (Consuming, distributing, selling substances that are harmful to the body such as drugs.) pornography/Sexual Misconduct, Extortion: This is one of the most serious offense and worse ones, especially those that involves hurt to others psychically and mentally and Drugs, The school takes these VERY strictly, The possible consequences are the same and you should not do ANY of these and break the laws. Heavy bags: Students of primary school going age are still at a growing age and it is important that they do not carry excessive loads that may affect their physical development. Please pack your bags every day according to the lessons for the day. Plan the night before what is needed for the next day. Do not bring unnecessary items such as Big umbrellas or toys. P: Pack according to the day. Plan the night before. A: Avoid heavy items. Opt for lighter water bottles and pencil cases. Do not recommend trolley bags because they are cumbersome and are a hassle when using the stairs. C: Carry bags properly using both of the straps instead of just one. This contributes the wright evenly across the shoulders and will not cause unnecessary stress on back. K: Keep proper posture. Icar2e values: Intergrity: Acting in a way that is honest and truthful. 3 things: 1. They failed to do crowd control at the side gates when dismissing students resulting in residents had to always avoid that pathway where the side gate are located. 2. The school failed to advise the parents NOT TO CAMP OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL before school dismissal! Even 1.5hrs before school dismiss, parents are already camping there! 3. Students are always running, dashing out and Chasing at each other right after school. Having to dash across the road and chasing each other is a very dangerous action.
