Friends and I entered a makeup outlet yesterday for the first time since covid. We didn't know that we couldn't test out any products because there were no notices and no one informed us. We saw 2 opened products in the tester area of a box of products and tried one. The staff came and confronted us very rudely, asking why we took a stock item and used it and we said it was already opened and in the tester area and there was even another product opened in the same box, also in the testing area. She proceeded to assume we opened it and I even asked her to check the CCTV to confirm if she wanted and I was being very nice all the way but she decided to try to scare us by saying if we didn't cooperate to pay up she'd have to make it a police case. We were trying to clarify and understand politely and this happened. She said other shops didn't have their products out on display for testing but I think it should be the staff's responsibility to check the products in the store first instead of being so rude and assuming things. She ended up trying to sell us that product but we mentioned how it was already opened so we wouldn't know if someone else had used it and since covid was the concern here. We were forced to buy a new stock of that product. Clearly irresponsible and very unprofessional behaviour.

Wanted to get a good face serum for Brightening/Whitening since currently I am using Eve Lom and Caudalie. 3 different staff came to me respectively, with 3 different information. Super not convinced, until Rachel came to my assistance. Explaination was clear, knowledgeable with the ingredients and products. My purchase was done very swiftly.
