throughly enjoyed my dinner here! Great service, not too long of a wait. The duck wing appetiser was delicious, crispy and perfect to dip with their signature chilli sauce! Stand out dish for the night was the drunken chicken- perfect with rice

Outlet situated at L5 of Causeway Point. Place is fully air-conditioned. Menu is standard. Food quality turned out to be good. Taste was good. Service crews were attentive. There is currently (as at Sep 2021) ongoing lunch promotion of 30% off for ala carte menu.

Standard chinese cuisine with duck being the highlight. Tried five dishes. Ten spices duck: Duck is tender and the skin is fragrant n crispy. Sauce is very herby but duck doesnt soak it up well so be sure to douse it in the sauce first. Not a big duck fan, but its decent nonetheless. Hotplate tofu: Hotplate didnt come hot unfortunately but the sauce is pretty good. Tofu is very standard. Broccoli n scallops: Very healthy dish. The sauce is thin n light not thick. Good for elderly but for me i prefer a dish with stronger fragrance. Dong po meat: Sauce is good, meat is a little tough but still manageable. Overall a good rendition. Fish maw soup: very light taste as it should be. Quite a generous serving of fish maw even in small portion. Small portion can serve up to 3 persons.

It was a pleasant process to order takeaway from them. The turnaround time was fast and prices are cheaper too. After ordering online, a staff called very quickly that one dish was unavailable and offered a close alternative. When my son reached there, the dishes were already properly packed in a large carrier bag - waiting for collection. There was no spillage or leakage of sauce. Taste wise, the food tasted better when I dined in as compared to takeaway. However, I understand that this is inevitable and quite expected. I appreciate the convenience of buying takeaway so that I can gather at home and dine with 5 unique visitors, and also it the immense hassle of preparing, cooking and clearing. To spend more quality family time, we only need to clear away the containers and wipe the table after dining. I paid S$345 including GST for 12 dishes of large and also medium sizes. It is good value for money. It worked out to be about S$44 for each of the 8 pax. It has been a good Ta Bao experience.

My first time to try Dian Xiao Er. The food is highly satisfying and price is reasonable to the standard and quality of food being served. I like their roasted ducks especially as it has the unique taste and after effect lingering in the mouth upon consumption. Very satisfying and highly recommended. Not too salty and simply just right. Didn't expect much actually until I had my first try at Dian Xiao Er. Their services is excellent and good. They have the set meals and also during this challenging endemic period, a 20% discount during off peak hours. It is very worth to dine in especially during such non peak hours discount. Further to that, there is also a membership possibility to the added benefits. At a rate of SGD $88, it entitles you birthday discount, 4 portion of duck meat, etc.. All in all, a welcoming satisfaction of both food, services and money well spent for family dinning experience.

Went for dinner on Wednesday night at around 8.20pm. Ordered the set meal for 2 paxs @ $61 before service and gst. They closed their cashier by 8.45pm. And requires diners to make payment at the cashier. Would suggest if they can bring our card to the cashier instead of diners queuing at the cashier while eating half way (food turns cold after the queuing and waiting at the cashier). Other than that, portion and taste of the food were great. The Auntie who took our order was nice and polite. After placing our orders she came back to double check our orders with us to make sure everything was alright.

The duck was definitely the star of the show. Paired with the chilli sauce, it was amazing and its skin was crispy. The mongolian pork ribs was great too, unique flavour. Fish maw soup and the wheatgrass tofu was nice. The only ordinary dishes here were the staples (fried rice and noodles, both did not have the wow factor). Great dining place overall!

The food is at Dian Xiao Er is consistently and exceptionally great. The duck is always juicy and tender, the spinach in anchovy has excellent stock and very tasty, the prawn in salted egg is delicious, the fish maw soup with seafood is one of the best around, and the best dish of all, the roasted iberico char siew is simply out of this world - super tender, juicy and fragrant. The service here odd very prompt and friendly too. It would have been 5 stars if not for the few small little flies buzzing around the food.
