★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely my go-to buns! Missed this when I was overseas. I personally really enjoy their curry, otah, luncheon meat (hamburger), sausage, kaya, cream puff and their butter cake! Super fluffy and affordable :)
Make sure you're there early to ensure you get the buns/cakes that you want!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was so promising.. the store set up, the look of the buns, loads of positive reviews, long queues.. so this must be the ultimate old school buns. But they weren't. The curry buns weren't good (by comparison to some common bakeries) so the luncheon meat ones must be the bomb. But they weren't either - really average i'll say. 'So Good Bakery' does a better job (but a tad pricier of course).

Priced only for $ 1.00-1.10 per palm sized bread. Very worth it.
Tried cream puff, but don’t really hit the spot. Filling need to be sweeter and the puff have eggy smell a bit for me.
Maybe next time will try their banana / butter cake.

Our favourites are curry, coconut, red bean and yam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a must try traditional bread ! Such an old school and childhood taste ! The texture is dense yet so soft with slight sweet taste of the bread! Remind me of my childhood bread! Love the generous filling! Esp the peanuts, Sambal prawn, Red Bean, Ham &Cheese! Recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are a bread lover and especially bread with that nostalgic aroma and taste of the yesteryears - then this cannot be missed. In fact, I would rank this as my favourite stall here at Serangoon Garden Market Food Centre. The aroma of the bakery is fully encapsulated in every bite of the buns, and my favourites would be cheese, curry and red bean. Paired with a cup of local coffee, this is really simple and yet not so simple enjoyment any time of the day.
