So far I only like the banana cake. And it was excellent. Soft and slightly chewy texture. Banana smell is just nice and not too sweet. Will go back again. Sugee and dates cake is dry and hard. Avoid this unless they improve the quality.

Pricey never mind, the yam cake sell higher than neighbouring stalls and din taste any different. Worse is the service. Everytime you order, instead of serving immediately the counter staff will attempt to do some other chores before packing for you. They are so cocky they think you are dying to eat their food. I only buy from them once in a long long while, bec of the bad service.

Tried the peanut pancake. Nicely toasted brown colour and crispy on the edges.

With the ostentatious signboard citing money back guarantee it’s practically egging you to try it out. (Though I’m not too sure if any customers actually used this against them) It’s Peanut pancake has crispy side skin while it’s insides are nice and fluffy, not too sweet. It’s been a while since I had decent pancake! The other pastries looks way easy on the eyes so might give the other items a go as well.

Tried the egg tart and walnut brownie. Not very fragrant for the egg tart. Something tried and done. Brownie is way to sweet for my liking. These days people is more on siew Dai already right ?

Pan cake is freshly baked and warm, nice to eat. Peanut is generous. The side of the pan cake is crisy. The quiche is nice too. My daughter love the chocolate cake best.

[Pancake King] Having recently open from its recent renovation (31 May 2021), Serangoon Garden Market & Food Centre is seen with snaking queues at almost every stall. Pancake King likewise is busy with orders, and although they are known for their Min Jiang Kueh, I decided to try out their other cakes instead. Chocolate Delight Cake ($3.50) Ngl this looked pretty rich and indulgent, but tastewise, it's just not my kind of fudgey chocolate cake. The chocolate used isn't dark chocolate, and the cake layer was slightly dry, with just a thin chocolate layer which doesn't really help provide chocolate richness as well. Butter Walnut Cake ($1.80) Their butter walnut cake is quite fragrant, especially with the walnuts as additional flavour and crunch. Not bad a cake for its price too. Banana Cake ($1.80) The banana cake is really moist, with a decent banana flavour. Can try if you're nearby, but I wouldn't travel all the way there just for it. Yam Kueh ($1.30) Ngl it's a lot more flour than the actual yam, but there'll definitely people who enjoy this fried traditional treat. It's still a decent Kueh I'd say, for the price I wouldn't really complain. Overall Rating: 7/10
