I finally was able to use the SGRecycle machine at Tampines Hub where I go to collect parcels from the nearby PopStation. Since the boxes are bulky, I open them to retrieve the various individual packages and their contents. This results in having to dispose of the various cardboard boxes and paper envelopes. The recycling machine is a godsend device to allow us to be socially conscious of our trail of recyclable paper products. Initially although I had created an account, I could not for the life of me figure out how to open the 'trapdoor' of this machine. I will login from my phone app and then cannot figure out how to get the door opened. Eventually, I contacted Support (a very friendly and helpful 'C') who sent me videos and information on how to operate the machines. The screen on the machine is a touchscreen which can be used for those without a phone app or use the phone app to get a customized QR which the camera on the machine will read, verify and start the automatic process. All one has to do is to slot in the paper waste, initiate the door closure and have your points updated based on the waste paper weight. This machine allows one to focus on recycling paper waste and do our part in saving the environment. Kudos to SGRecycle !

This is one of the best paper recycling machines around! So easy to follow the instructions, hassle free and what a great green initiative! We should have more of this around the island.

The emptying of the contents is rather infrequent and not very dependable. It would be a waste of efforts to lug what you have accumulated to the machine. Before making a trip down, it's best to log in to see the percentage of utilization. By the way, it doesn't seem like conscious efforts been arranged to empty on a weekly or a 3 day basis for us users.

When I read about the 5 stars reviews, I was impressed. However, out of my 6 attempts to bring my big books for recycle, I only managed to get one success. I participated in this campaign not for the rewards but to show an example to my surrounding neighbours. Searching high and low for clues as to what time can the full bins will be emptied comes to no avail.Being an elderly and the heavy load of books weighed me down. And after the 5 th time.. Enough is enough! Plz make improvement. my appreciation!

Out of 5 times I went to drop paper off, 3 times the Serangoon Central machine is full. The problems are: 1. The bin in the machine is too small. 2. The bin is not cleared frequently enough. I believe, it is at most cleared once a day, and not even cleared at all on weekends. The impression is that this SGRecycle story is only for media publicity. In reality, it does little for recycling. If initiative is serious, please take effective steps to improve. Thanks
