We love it since it is the "wet" version of the popular dish. Price has gone up by 50 cents lately for every portion. The queue is usually not long. We have perceived to be our contingency option when other favourite stalls are too crowded or closed. We will change the mindset and rank them the same as the other popular option. Time they deserve better rating.

Open only during day time. One of the best Fried Hokkien Mee in town. He is the elder son of his father master chef back in late 70's where the family runs a few food stall just behind the New World Hotel (collapsed 1986) corner coffee shop. 2nd son runs the other stall only at night in Toa Payoh Lor 8 food centre. This a dry style fried hokkien mee, cook to flawless and it taste even better after you fridge it overnight, put it into wok and fried to hot. A sinful breakfast. have been eating it for 40 years at least.

Had small for $3.50. Wasn't expecting much as it arrived more soupy than my usual hokkien mee. Mixed it with chilli and it was strangely delicious. Fish cake was a nice touch. When you are in the neighborhood, do give it a try.

Standard dropped recently and the fried hokkien mee had loads of small little charred fragments from the wok. Very unhealthy.

Enjoyed the large plate of Hokkien mee ($6), came with 4 fresh, medium prawns, fish cake, fresh squid, and egg. Good stock and a large portion of noodles.

You know something’s up when there’s green vegetables in the hokkien mee - personally, I prefer mine without the green leaves. But to my surprise, it was done very nicely. Noodles: This hokkien mee is somewhere in between the well-fried version, and the light and watery version. It even had 3 kinds of noodles in the same plate - yellow mee, white mee and bee hoon. Stock: The prawn stock is not heavy and overpowering, but actually quite light and nice (definitely not unflavourful). Chilli: Personally don’t like chilli with my hokkien mee, so I didn’t try it. I’m quite critical of hokkien mee, so this isn’t as good as the ones at Bedok Corner, Changi Village, or Chomp Chomp, but it holds its own. I am impressed. Its $3 for the cheapest plate (shown in picture). The only downside: it’s at Pek Kio Market, which is quite out of the way. But if I’m ever in the area, I’d definitely be back for another plate.

Portion is huge. Taste is not what I had expected. Maybe the stock used wasn't thick enough. Chilli is pretty normal. Still a decent try but not worth driving all the way down for this.

Tried it first time with friend since we were around the vicinity. Thought it got award should be not so bad. Kind of disappointed. The prices and portions are reasonable. Small cost $3.50, medium $5 and large $6. We ordered small and medium and the portions and ingredients were reasonable (see pics) But the noodles came across as too wet and soggy. The noodles were all soft and it was unlike others I have tried. It could be we went after lunch time and these were the remnants from an earlier batch.
