★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a big outlet but packed full of stuff, from dry goods to fresh meat & veggies... there's a small promo items section in front of cashier's section. Promo items are bargain buy, so grab a few if u need them. The shop seems packed with narrow corridor, so avoid peak hours when u shop. The self-checkout stations are semi-self service type - the cashier scans and packs all yr items and then u proceed to make payment at a designated machine. Different from fairprice, giant & cold storage....was a little confused at first... ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pricing is reasonable and competitive. However, I accidentally dropped my credit card at the checkout counter and seems like staff are well trained in this type of situation when I came back after only 5 minutes to the same counter to asked if she has discovered any lost wallet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally there is a competetion to Giant in Fajar shopping centre.
For many years the Giant had monopoly and their service was pathetic.. can already change in the staff at giant since opening of sheng siong.. Adoption of self service payments at SS is efficient and no need to Q. 24 hr open so can always plan our visit at less crowded times.. A Bit crowded on weekends and aisle are small.. Trolleys are impossible and hence absent. Nevertheless, always had good experiwnceand prices are competetive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Think mgmt in outlet at Fajar need to check on ice-cream freezer temperature...
Twice already within the recent 2 months, I have bought ice-creams which were 1.Melted and refrozen (you can tell from icicles formed inside the container)..
2. Box of Ice-cream on sticks which were literally melted, less than 20mins after being bought, straight from freezer.
Sub-standard storage condition.. I'm surprised no other complains yet.. And not detected by staff!!!
