We went back to Shi Fang Xiang and bought a handmade, vintage Zhuni teapot. ______________________________________________________________________ 3 Weeks Ago: The small shop in Ang Mo Kio Market is nondescript and located at one end of the market. My wife and I have been to the market and food centre numerous times but this was the first time we came across the shop. Manning the shop in her cheongsam, Amy is friendly and welcomed us into the shop even though a customer was there tasting and buying tea leaves. The shop is so small that 4 is a crowd! Amy introduced us to white tea and pu erh tea. As we were looking for a teapot, we liked 2 Yixing Zisha handmade teapots we saw. An elderly lady who is a regular customer and Chinese tea aficionado joined us later in the shop. Soon, we were chatting about tea and tea ware like old friends, and Amy and the elderly lady recommended tea leaves and tea ware to us. From our initial browsing, we ended up purchasing a Yixing Zicha handmade teapot, teacups, drainage tray and 19-year old pu erh tea. We had an enjoyable time and would recommend the shop if you are interested in Chinese tea and you happen to be in the area.
