Great food, better service The Kofta, Laal Maas and Shahi Tukda are the stand-out items on the menu!

We had a lovely dinner at this brand new restaurant yesterday! Chanced upon it on Google and we decided to give it a try- and I am so glad we did ! :) It is located in a beautiful building, amazing fine decor and great ambience. The service was fantastic, Florence who served us went above and beyond- took us on a little tour of this beautiful place , recommended us the best dishes plus check in on us regularly and took the effort to explain the history of this place! We got to speak with the manager and chef somu and managed to meet and chat with ChefJolly himself! Great conversations- abt the place, the history, the concept of the food and all the effort and work that went in to it. Food was very flavourful and tasty- every single dish was enjoyable. There were some very creative dishes and the presentation was top notch. It was also really nice to learn that chef and the team put in great effort to ensure all dietary requirements were taken care of plus only healthy ingredients were used (there is no dish with a potato for example , sweet potatoes were used instead). My absolute favorites were the dhal ( dhal makhani style), and the roasted eggplant and the sweet potato chaat. Super super yummy and I would come back just for this. The desserts and drinks were lovely too with great vegan options. My birthday dinner was made really special at this wonderful place and I would highly highly recommend this restaurant- especially so for a special occasion!

Had been to this restaurant yesterday after I saw a glimpse of it on IG and thought to give it a try. And it was definitely one of the best fine dining experiences I ve had so far. We were greeted by Florence who took us on a Restaurant tour sharing with us some insights on the unique artifact collections &the history behind it. The decor was exquisitely crafted with some fine collections that were collected from the British era and each every rooms had a unique vibe to it. The Service Crew were very focused and gave attention to details. Florence made a point to regularly check upon us and gave his recommendation to try some of the items. Food wise each of the items listed on the menu were pretty unique and Lipsmackingly awesome ?. We had a chance to talk to head chef Somasundaram (Somu) who shared with us lot of info about some of the items listed and what goes into preparing them. Some of the must Tries are Chicken Tikka, Sweet Potato Tikki Chaat, Aubergine Ghee Roast, Chicken Biryani and Almond Brioche Toast. Highly recommend this place for celebrating that special occasion or having an outing with your family. Looking forward for my next Shikar visit soon.

Shikar, a beautiful, new fine dinning Indian restaurant in Singapore. Located in the heart of Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood, in the the gorgeous Maxwell Reserve Hotel. What can I say about the food! AMAZING. It is so good that I am coming back next week. Led by Chef Jolly, everything was perfect - from the decor, to the staff/ service to the gorgeous food. A must visit for both personal and business occasions. I highly recommend this to all those who love authentic Indian food. Suitable for vegetarians and meat lovers both.

Undoubtedly the best Indian fine dining I've had in Singapore. There's a good variety of vegetarian & vegan options. The meats were incredibly tender and well flavoured, though delightfully - not overly spicy! There's some very interesting local variations on traditional Indian food, such as the Duck Seekh kebab. I would absolutely recommend this for a date night or group of friends. Looking forward to trying the private dining room with some guests from work.
