★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This stall, manned by a friendly lady, sells Fried Kway Teow, Fried Oyster and Carrot Cake. I opted for their white version of fried carrot cake for takeaway. She will fry each order on it's own, to maintain the consistency of each order. Her carrot cake was generally more soft and was mixed with generous amount of eggs, chye poh (preserved radish), and garlic. Each bite was with a good crunch with a distinct charred chilli flavor. Overall, this was a plate of well-balanced carrot cake.
Came back to try their Black version Fried Carrot Cake this round. The carrot cake was moist, eggy, fried until soft with small chunks of Cai Poh found within. It was neither too dry and nor too sweet which did not overpower it's savoury.
