Very convenient location and they offer ballet classes catered for all levels. Teachers are very professional and passionate. Only downside is that some classes are oversubscribed which makes it slightly less conducive for learning

Taking adult ballet classes here. You get taught by professional dancers. Instruction is great and lovely studios. Class do get a little too crowded sometimes. And they only accept payment at the counter for class packages, wish they did electronic payment and allow for bookings instead of open classes to avoid over crowding in class.

Yay for ballet. Always fantastic adult instruction, lovely studios and enjoyable experience. You can learn at your own pace and have the freedom to take classes over months with the dance card, so that there’s no stress associated with missing classes when you travel or get busy. Highly recommended for adult ballet!

Wonderful facilities, and though I couldn’t see a show, the dancers here look lovely. At the top of the shopping mall, the studios are very big and spacious.

I've been learning Ballet at SDT for 4 yrs and I would like to add Janek and Jason were by far my favorite teachers as they made Ballet fun and easier to learn. Looking forward to attend their classes - always.

Had one instructor teaching the adult class. It was my first time at SDT and took a long time to clinch the spot. Honestly....I was slightly disappointed as the class felt quite cold and impersonal. Maybe it depends on which teacher you get? But yes, the fundamentals were taught so if that's all you're looking for, its fine. The instructor did as she was told. Nothing wrong and gave answers. But like I said, very impersonal. Personally I would have preferred a more inviting atmosphere especially as a beginning student.

I was initially excited to try adult ballet as a hobby and mind you I have 0 knowledge in ballet but after the first class, I got disappointed and discouraged because of the instructor. I remembered he asked if I'm an accountant in which I mentioned no and he replied back saying "obviously coz you don't know how to count" or "are you trying to get my attention" when I made another mistake and this was on day 1. I still went to his other class as I signed up for the 8 class term but I just didn't feel like it's a safe space for me to learn and don't want to feel forced to attend a class I don't like so I decided to miss the rest of the class.

Agree with an earlier reviewer that classes can b quite cold (literally, too) n impersonal depending on which instructor u get. However I wouldnt say that all instructors r impersonal as it may b that some r more introverted compared to others. Ive done a few beginners courses here n must say they r all v professional. Shout outs esp to jeremie who was always so enthusiastic abt sharing his craft n maddy who took the time to ask if we had any injuries at the start of class. She was the only instructor i encountered there who did so.
