Cool place, have pretty good tattoo artists, but do not go if you are unsure what you want and would like to ask questions, because apparently that is one good way to hurt inflated egos.

Great on Instagram but definitely don't recommend IRL. Very rude and unable to engage in clear discussion or expectation setting. Also, someone else mentioned in the reviews about inflated egos and not being able to handle even the slightest ambiguity. Had the exact same experience. He seemed more interested in keeping my deposit than finding a way to do the whole tattoo :)

Approached Clifford to do a tattoo after my friend showed me his instagram and artwork. While quite impressive on instagram, I was shock to see the design that he had prepared for me (can reference from the photo attached). This design is obviously poorly thought out with no effort made to wholly integrate the 2 components I requested for (Wave & Crosshair). As a first-timer, I relied heavily on Clifford's expertise to guide me through this whole tattoo design ideation and process, which I received none of it. Moreover, the consultation with Clifford was a bad experience as non-answers were given and he was visibly disinterested. Another thing to take note is that the deposit is ~40% of the whole fee (I paid $200 deposit). Im not quite sure what the market rate is but it does seem quite steep in any case. As mentioned by the other reviewer, it seems as though they are more interested in keeping the deposit than finding a way to do the whole tattoo. At the end of the day, it might have been my fault to proceed with paying deposit even though there are signs of red flags (I gave Clifford a benefit of a doubt and trusted that he was a professional). However, I just wanted to share my experience so that others can make a more informed decision. Highly not recommended for first-timers.

Daze is one of the most unethical, egotistical, rude, and aggressive tattoo artists I have ever encountered. He used a commissioned design I paid a deposit of $200 for on *another* client without notifying me, and when approached politely with a request for a refund because I did not consent to having a commissioned design repurposed exactly on someone else’s body, was once again hostile and offensive, despite acknowledgement in his own post on how different a piece this was to his usual. So I forfeited a (steep) $200 deposit just so he could use a design I gave detailed instructions regarding on someone else. Proof is attached that this design is the EXACT same, and that he did not once attempt to approach me to ask for permission or even as a heads up. The initial consultation process involved me providing dozens of reference images and very detailed explanations of what I wanted done. When politely criticised, as I pointed out he had made no effort to include the fantasy element and simply recreated near exactly a cathedral window, Daze exploded with so much hostility, insecurity, and aggression it was near impossible to have a discussion on a piece that was meant to be PERMANENT, which put me off communicating with him because what was meant to be a meaningful, collaborative experience became an incredibly stressful process of ego management with rants on his personal insecurities, and deliberately ignoring the aesthetics provided, that did not endear me to the idea of him placing needles on my body for hours. His entitlement, total lack of ethics, and rudeness is truly astonishing, not to mention more than a bit scary to be honest. 0/10, stay the hell away. Note: I’ve had tattoos done before from artists who were nothing but delightful and extremely invested in ensuring the clients vision was realised. This behaviour is beyond appalling.

Clifford is extremely unprofessional. Based on an experience, clifford implied to my friend that he did not want to be associated with the design that he was going to make. In addition, he did not mention the terms and conditions regarding the deposit being made as such my friend had to forfeit $200. During this encounter, clifford was rude, egoistic and made no attempt to put in effort for the design that a client paid him to do. I would not recommend going to him. His designs and shading might be up to standard but his attitude towards clients and tattooing definitely should not be tolerated.

Had multiple great experiences with Clifford at the shop. Clifford is super detail oriented and shows me a complete drawing of my pieces days before the appointment. What’s also great is that he provides a form that clearly states that the piece is something we’re both happy with and outlines what elements of the tattoo can be changed or modified should I have any last minute creative ideas. Saying so, after multiple sessions with Clifford, I’ve never had to make any changes. I think as a canvas, it’s better to go into any tattoo with a clear understanding of what you want to get as well as solid references. Don’t second guess your idea and you won’t be second guessing any artist’s interpretation of it. Thanks to Clifford, and the rest of the boys at the shop, for making every visit a fun time filled with banter!

Shoutout to Clifford Wong! First time getting a tattoo here, and I must say I will definitely be back. Seamless experience from consultation to getting inked today. Clifford was very responsive to any question I had. What also sets Clifford apart from others is that he is really fast.
