Worst place to consult the doctor. Long waiting time for the subsidy patients. Doctors don't respect subsidy patients, when they asked some questions, the doctor would just stop and interrrupt them and continue what they say. No respect at all! The doctors would not even give the patient time to explain their condition. Doctor promise to do the procedure the next session, however, when we came for the next session and ask the doctor, the doctor say not neccessary because the gritty feeling in the eye will gone is the next few months. Oh wow, next few months? so she will be suffering for the next few months just because she is subsidy? Just because the patients pay lesser for subsidy hence need to suffer? Did not even expect the doctors from Singapore World class public hospital will say this. In addition, after the laser, the doctor say the nurse will check the eye pressure at 1pm, HOWEVER, the nurse say is 2pm and wheb we argue back, she say see wrongly. Oh wow, not even one patient at there and you can tell me you see wrongly because you are too busy? I saw you chatting with your colleagues, remove the mask, drink waiter and even using your handphone. So this is why you are sooooooooo busy? Therefore, I always agree that private hospital provide the top service. For me, I will only go for doctor consultation in the private hospital, the money you pay for is defintely worth it!

I had both of my cataracts done by Dr Cheong Kai Xiong. I can see very clearly now. He was professional and polite. He did not rush and answered all my questions even though he had a lot of patients outside his room waiting for him. I found the surgeries quick and painless. When I complimented him, he gave credit to the pain doctors, saying that they did a good job. He looks young but he is good and humble. After my first cataract I requested that he did my second eye and he agreed. I am thankful for the care that I have received under him at SNEC.

The senior consultant who saw me was impatient, curt, in a rush and sound irritated. Before I could ask another question she had already walk out of the consultation room with me still sitting there! Hope they have more empathy and understanding towards patient. We are worried and need to understand our condition because it concern our eyesight! I noticed that in recent years the doctors are insensitive, impatient and very blunt with their answers.

27th Jan finally my appointment day at SNEC after 3 months wait. Very disappointing experience living in a first world country. Communication between SNEC and GP clinic is close to non existent, only thing that was arrange is appointment time. Earliest appointment took 3 months from date of eye irritation. Physical Referral form which may or may not have been given to me is missing. Nothing communicated between clinics only appointment date. No soft copy to fall back on even tho it’s 2022 a digital age. Now because of the physical referral form I have to postpone appointment back another 2 months. Solution given from front desk is either postpone or pay walk in price. If I wanted to pay walk in price I would have seen the doctor 3 months ago.

Waited for 3 months for an appointment for my severe dry eyes and the consultation lasted for only 2 minutes, next appointment was scheduled 3 months later without providing any specialised dry eye treatment. Saw an auntie politely asked the nurse for the way to her assigned room and the nurse almost didn’t seem to care and brushed her off by saying “I’m not free”. Didn’t expect the above to happen in Singapore.

My mum came here for a cataract day surgery and doctor was late for almost 1.5hrs The following day, we came back for a review. What shocked me was the waiting time for Pharmacy dispensary. We waited more than an hour just to collect an eye drop. This is truly world class experience given the world class Singapore that we are staying in...

My 88 years old father has a 9.50am appointment. We waited for more than an hour and the nurse informed that he is next after one patient. To our surprise, a young man was being called in when it is my father’s turn. It seems that he is not a subsidized patient and should have priority over a pioneer generation even though it is the old man’s turn. Our experience with SNEC is that they don’t really respect appointment slots but to allow jumping of q is really something new.

Very inefficient and bad service. Worst experience I had…. Actually I wanted to rate 0 stars…. My kid used to go for regular consultations. Have to wait for 4 hours every time even with appointment which are fixed 4 months in advance. Not many patients though… it is literately not possible to change the appointment time after booking done as the staff always tell you that all slots within the next 4 months are full… but the clinic can just message you last minute and tell you that your appointment time is changed…. Ridiculous workflow… My helper needs to get a doctor letter. She has to go down to the center in person for 3 times, and took 3 hours each time just to wait for nurses to ask some simple questions which can easily be done over a phone call…. just imagine how our public sector resources are being wasted like that…
