★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the first stroke association which was setup more than 20 years ago.it is an association that is runs by stroke survivors to help stroke survivors in their recovery journey from stroke. They conduct an array of activities from life after stroke program, sport activities to mental developmental activities to help the stroke survivors recover and reintegrate to the society. This association depends purely on well wishers donations and government grants to operate the association and brings benefits to those who really needed it.

Sad, another charity following in the foot steps of St Luke's hospital, collecting, via a karung guni contractor, items (only specific) for recycling.
As mentioned before, for starters, I found it extremely eco unfriendly as they must have printed at least 1,950 of such flyers which are actually slotted into the gates of every unit in my estate (13 blocks, each 25 storeys, 6 units per storey). And they call this a recycle project when they are wasting so much paper and killing so many trees in the name of charity!
Coincidentally, its the same contractor appointed by St Luke who is again involved here.
How involved is this charity in this process? Will they be checking the contractor's mode of operations and ensure that the donated items will indeed be properly recycled and not the appointed contractor skimming off the cream 1st? Are they prepared to conduct checks?
Otherwise, this will be another St Luke, supposedly noble good intentions and nice sounding. That's about it.
