Siong Hua is like a friends place. As a supplier of construction materials and hardware there is hardly anything I cannot get here. The staff knows me and they are very friendly and helpful - despite me not speaking any Chinese dialect. Prices are reasonable. Delivery upon request and has always been very prompt.

The staffs there are very rude!!!! and seems bias on treating customer (depend on your status). Every time (is every time!) call them, they are not patient and often hang up directly when you talking half way. I wish they can improve the customer service, don't treat the customer like owing them.

Normal hardware store for SMEs

Highly recommend for quality woods including solid blocks. Though they were unresponsive via email, when I visited the main outlet the young male boss attending to me was super patient and friendly. He went to check out appropriate woods for my fence/gate and patiently explained various wood features. Sells variety of woods eg kapur, balau, chengal at min 2.4m length with varying thickness. Unlike other shops he professionally advise cheaper kapur is unsuitable for outdoor use. Chengal 95mmx95mmx2.4m block was $83. Pity they did not have 3mm thick planks for the gate frame. Planed balau was very reasonably priced 3"x1"x3.6m $11. Cutting was manual hence they can only cut lengthwise at a fee (i paid $7). Both wood types were dense and solid. If only they helped to cut 45degree as we ended up manually sawing the wood by hand which was super tedious and time consuming. If only there is a shop in Sin that offers standard wooden flanks for frame, dome shaped top vertical planks and blocks suitable for DIY fencing repairs just like taobao. Or be able to help customise cuts /drills on the wood at a fee. Without professional machines it is impossible to cut recess in the thick dense wood.

A hardware store for contractors. Retail consumers can also enjoy the variety of hardware at a great price. Don't expect much in way of service as this place is meant for contractors.

That senior citizen didn't respect any customer. U should teach him how to handle customer. We buy things use our money not he giving us for free. Please teach him give some respect to others . I hope the owner should read this n take action on him . Thanks ?
