★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always like food by independent hawkers or cafes, especially those open by Singaporeans. There's often sincerity in their food. The same can be said about a few stores in Jurong West Hawker Centre. Snowman Soya & Desserts is one of them. The crowds are dwindling these days even though there's efforts to bring people in. People who come by this neighborhood for lunch or dinner often prefer the air conditioned environment in Koufu, Pioneer Mall. Yet, the food there is not always better or healthier. At Snowman Soya & Desserts today, I have my green bean soup. At $1.50, it's fresh and fine, and I get the healthier benefits of natural air.
P. S. Green bean soup at Koufu, Pioneer Mall cost the same price but the bowl is smaller. I prefer Snowman's for sure.
