It was a great experience working with Alex. I was searching for a nice pair of earrings for my significant other and came across Soosoomon Jewellery. I had just concluded a visit to Tiffany & Co to check out the proposal ring which my now-wife fancied and learn briefly about diamonds. As I heard about how buying jewellery from established brands entails paying a brand premium, I decided to also check out private jewellers before this big purchase. That was when I was introduced to Alex from Soosoomon Jewellery by a mutual friend. My first appointment with Alex lasted 4 hours wherein I laid on Alex with a constant barrage of questions about the 4Cs of diamonds, i.e. color, clarity, carat, and cut. Alex was very patient in attending to all my questions with detailed explanations, on the spot demonstrations of how the different Cs interact and even industry tips on the pricing of diamonds and workmanship fees. Throughout the session from 5pm to 9pm, Alex wasn't pushy at all in wanting to close the sale - unlike what I have experienced at typical jewellery stores. He never once tried to make me commit to the purchase but yet encouraged me to leave his cozy office and have a think first. Alex's genuineness and sincerity meant I felt comfortable entrusting this huge purchase with Alex and SSM Jewellery. Alex and SSM Jewellery achieved the ideal outcome for me - Getting the desired diamond at cost price and yet only paying a reasonable workmanship fee for this Tiffany-inspired 1 carat diamond ring. Needless to say, the proposal was an absolute success as my wife absolutely love the ring.
