Engaging Adrian as our ID could easily be the best decision we made for our house. Adrian runs a one-man show. He is the boss and the only employee of the company which means that liaising is a breeze and our messages will get across to the ID. The design he proposed wasn't a cookie cutter kind of design but a house with a well synchronised theme and carefully chosen colour palette while working around few of our hard requirements. While we were very looking forward to shift in, the excitement seems to deplete with the long renovation period. No thanks to the pandemic. Nonetheless, the excitement was re-ignited on the day of unveiling. (We were barred from visiting the site 2 weeks before completion) We were greeted with surprise and satisfaction the moment we stepped into the house. It well exceeded our expectations. The entire house was beautifully dressed up and it's just astonishing. Real worth the wait. The black ceiling which he took months to convince me was stunning as well. Quoting his words, "it will be stunning, you have to trust me." Our girls are equally delighted with the new house. The timeless design of the girls' room was well received by them. Space planning is important when you do not have the luxury of space and Adrian nailed it! My 2yo daughter told me "So pretty.... the house!" Adrian's after-sales service is excellent as well. There are minor defects which needs to be touched up and he attended to us promptly despite having several projects on hand. In fact, his reply to our requests had always been fast (within minutes) throughout the entire renovation process. Adrian is definitely not the cheapest ID in town but he is definitely someone who can deliver. You just gotta trust him and glad that we did. :)

This has got to be the longest project that Adryan has ever done.... we started talking and discussing about designs early part of this year. During the design, you tell Adryan what you like and want about your place .... the color, what you want to keep in the cupboards or bar corner etc. when he has his designs ready, you go to his office and he starts describing to you, the color match ups, the concepts of design and how it will look etc. He draws them up as well . And me being a very visual person would just picture my place as per the drawing that was shown to me then. Then COVID came and everything stopped until Sep and even then things were still not going at full speed as there were labor shortages and still need to bring stuff in from overseas. Adryan still keeps you updated about the progress and occasionally when he hits a problem or when he is unsure about options that I will pick then he ask me to choose but he doesn’t give a lot away on how my house will look. Finally Nov came and he said it was almost ready and he planned the reveal. Asked me for a bunch of books and stuff to use as decor.... I don’t know how he does it but he just make my books somehow much more useful then just for reading purposes ??? and until then I STILL DO NOT know how my house looks like! When the reveal came, as I stepped into my house.... I swear... I couldn’t stop smiling .... like The Joker with a narrower grin! I have seen the drawn ups previously but the real thing is so different!!! It was so so so so so so much nicer!!!! I was so eager to see everything quickly but Adryan will patiently and tease the reveal, telling you bits by bits on the lights, functionality of the cupboards and furniture design etc. I told him after that reveal.... “After dinner, I am going to go home and start packing my stuff and move in to enjoy my new place.” And finally, move in completed and enjoying the hard work that Adryan and co have put it!!! Thanks a zillion!!! I LOVE MY NEW PLACE LOTS!!!!

Throughout the discussion phase, I must be absolutely honest, he didn’t like some of our ideas and it was not pleasant to hear. But listening to Adryan explain it, it was not because he didn’t like our ideas but rather, it was because it wouldn’t work in the entire theme. That is the professional consultancy we asked and paid for, and not just a designer that says yes to all our ideas. This I believe is unique to only a few professional designers in Singapore, who tells you what you need to know versus what you like to hear. The focus on quality and perfection in workmanship is truly exceptional and the one of the kind designs done by Adryan personifies the true artist that he is. I must emphasize that SpaceOne ID consultancy is a bespoke ID firm that delivers high end renovation work so be prepared to have a bigger budget. Similarly, you wouldn’t walk into Hermes with only $1,000 and hope to walk out with a Birkin bag, would you? Whilst I must admit that the entire project went above our budget, the final outcome more than justified the money spent. Call it a little foolish or a little brave but giving Adryan a free hand in most of the design concepts allowed him to be adventurous, bold and creative resulting in what we called, a masterpiece. We were more than thrilled with the final outcome, it was truly spectacular. Thank you SpaceOne and Adryan for our amazing new home.
