Quite a cheap place to shop for groceries. If they can tidy up the place & improve on arrangement , believe can attract lots of customer. We need more this kind of shop in singapore!

The place is a total mess, no food hygiene to speak of.

Been shopping at the Sparrow grocery mart regularly, great pricing, the best around the neighborhood

Large varieties and kinda affordable to shop around

Offer Vegetable, frozen item and can drink with lower price than supermarket.

Visiting Bedok Heart Kampung Chai Chee Community Club all the way from Bishan and saw this Sparrow Supermarket nearby. Enjoying my time here at Asian Supemarket, price attached, lots of variety and super cheap! Japanese Cucumber $1 for 5, spinach $0.50 for 1, almost vegetable at $0.50 per package. Great experience and definitely will shop regularly if living around here. I saw 1 Japanese can drink 1/2 price from the regular supermarket too. 3:6 sumthing. Seriously? This place is a gem!

A lovely and quaint little fruit seller with a quainter name. Sparrows 麻雀 is located deep in the heartland bowels of Bedok. Their prices are competitive and there are bargains abound to be found. You know you're striking gold when you see the droves of Ahmas and ahgongs milling about inside and also some ahgongs outside excitedly discussing their 4D numbers. Some examples of prices: dragon fruit 红肉 (red meat) at 80 cents and 3 for $2, Indonesia cabbage at $1.70 each, Beijing cabbage at $1.50 each, pearl brinjal 珍珠茄子 (pronounced as qiezi for those of you Chinese noobs) at 30 cents each and 4 for $1, and tomatoes at $2.20 per kg. They also sell cheap drinks, for example a carton of 24 cans of soya bean, original H2O, black soya or Bandung will set you back aere $10.50! That is less than 50 cents per can and rivals prices on redmart/shoppee Lazada etc. hit the like button so more people will see this and support businesses that don't overcharge customers.

You can get good deals here and there. But quality wise is also here and there. Usually stuff that are bought in bulk can be selling at good price but also they tend to be going to rot soon. At one section, they offer frozen items but the freezers emit so much heat that the air around that section is very hot. The staff Manning after midnight is a disgruntled looking man. He doesn't look happy to be there. Last night I asked him question if they sell certain item and he totally ignored me as the answer. Maybe he gave a facial expression but I missed it. It is 24 hrs and wandering souls would like the place. Edit I was there again on 10 Jul 22 215 am. I paid for one vegetable, then I saw another lady finger I want to buy, I signalled to the worker and he looked super angry. To buy things here, we need to treat the workers as stranger. Don't have to be friendly to them,else you would be disappointed.
