★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great if you want to see the origin of all the tropical spices. They also have a collection of types of banana tree. There are other interesting things to see in the area (eg archeological dig site)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely park within the city. This place is not just a collection of plants and spices but a place of historical significance. It once was the site of palaces and HQ for the British Army. The decision to surrender Singapore to the Japanese was also made on these grounds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking through this garden, I can’t help but be reminded of the importance of spices in driving colonial-era trade, which saw the birth of strategic ports like Singapore. The plants here inspire curiosity and are indeed a feast for the senses. More importantly, they contribute to the rich diversity of flora in the park.
