Sri Geylang Sate - 8 Jln Pisang

Extremely slow service.

TLDR: Had to wait for about 1,5 hrs, chicken satay was raw, after asking to have it roasted again it was still raw, and beef satay was nothing special. My family and I heard of this place from YouTube, and were excited to have some halal satay on our holiday in Singapore. However, after waiting for over an hour after ordering, we still had not received a notice of our order being ready. It was not busy, and our order consisted of 20 chicken and 20 beef satays, which should be possible, to say in the least. One of us went to ask how long it would still take to get our order done, to which the vendor answered "5 minutes". Eventually, we stil had to wait for 20 minutes before finally getting our order. The chicken satay was raw on one side. We all had already eaten a skewer before realising (we've never had raw chicken before, so...). We returned the raw skewers, so that they could be roasted properly, this took only half a minute or so, before they gave us still raw in the middle chicken satay. Needless to say, we got out of there. To bad we had already paid, now we're just hoping not to have to pay a hospital bill for any of our family members due to salmonella poisoning. The beef satay was not bad, but really nothing special and definitely nowhere near enough to cover for the raw chicken satay. Sheesh.

One of the best satay at Satay by the Bay. Yes, they are no longer at Jln Pisang. I really love their peanut sauce.
