the umami taste of the sea gravy coats every strand of the hokkien mee making it super delicious! even when reheated overnight. the char kway teow with cockles was moist and delectable too.

Came here for the famous Claypot Rice. While waiting, decided to order CKT from this stall. Can do with more fragrance and more pork lards. CKT itself was nice, moist with good portion of lip cheong, cockles and eggs. Will come back to try the hokkien Mee next time.

Very tasty hokkien fried prawn noodles that is of the wet type. The portion was generous and with lots of ingredients for $4. It is interesting that there was not much business during dinner time on a Saturday. A stall with such high quality hokkien noodles usually attract a long queue.

A decent char kway teow with lots of flavour. Friendly Uncle and Auntie who served me. I gave it four stars because I thought it could use a little more seasoning and, it was swimming in oil.

Checked out this stall selling fried hokkien mee, char kway teow and carrot cake inside a coffeeshop a few shop away from Joe fishing tackle. Ordered the fried hokkien mee which was priced $SGD4 onwards. The hokkien mee here is the wetter version kind, it cones with the standard ingredient of prawn and squid. Personally feel that the portion was a little small and it only comes with just 2 prawns. Noodle was nicely fried, can taste the wok hei and the gravy was flavourful. Their char kway teow seems not bad either, might want to come back and try. Very limited seats during lunchtime.

Probably the best char kway teow I’ve ever had. Caveat that it’s not healthy first, but then again, why would you care whether a ckt is healthy? Why/how is it good? Each strand of kway Teow and noodle is generously coated with oil (think they use lard?), resulting in a smooth texture on the palate without being overly wet. Light level of spiciness that gives it an extra oomph, enhancing the taste and cutting through the oil so that it doesn’t feel too gelat. The best part? Super generous amount of fried lard - I get it in almost every scoop - that adds so much flavour and an additional layer of crunch to the texture. And of course, the customary wok hei that must come with any reputable ckt. Simply legendary. As the boss said, this is probably the 古早味 (gu zao wei/ gu zah bi). And you know what? Seems like their best dish is their Hokkien fried prawn mee judging from its name and the various reviews. Will definitely be back again to try their Hokkien mee.

Passed by coffeeshop and saw a guy having CKT, took a 2nd look " hmm machiam not bad leh". Ordered a small plate with no garlic and chilli and when came " wow got chives" (Old school way of frying) Very aromatic plate, just like the olden day. Haven't had such CKT for long time. Read the reviews, mostly on compliment on HKM. Will come back again for it.

Tried their Fried Kway Teow with cockles. Pretty nice. Moist type. Cockles are fresh. Pork lard is also fresh and crispy. In terms of flavour, it is towards the mild side. Definitely worth revisiting. Next time I will want to try their Hokkien Fried Prawn Noodles. Saw a lot of people ordering that =)
