Close to Tanglin Halt, along Commonwealth Drive is this Temple, having it's origin back to 1932 when Malayan Railway employees positioned a 3 corner stone below a Banyan tree for their daily prayers. In the 1970's this Shrine was replaced by a Temple along Queensway but it had give way to the road widening in the late 80's.
The current much larger Temple was inaugurated 1.2. 1998 and seems to be the largest in SEA dedicated to the Muneeswaran deity. It's location today is just along the former Railway tracks as the temple remained always close to the Railway.
