TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I engaged this agency as I was looking for a job. I was informed of an opening. The agent whom served me assured that it was a 5 day work week job. I went for the interview with the hiring company and was informed that it was in-fact a 6 days work week job. Went back to the agency to clarify on this and was once again assured that it was going to be a 5 day work week job and that the 6th day will be considered as working overtime. I was also advised by the agent that it was entirely my choice if I wanted to work the extra day. Taking his word for it, I signed the contract. On my 1st day at training, I checked with my fellow trainees in regards to the working schedule. They informed me that it was indeed 6 days. I contacted my agent in regards to this issue and to my surprise, he just brushed off the question and there was no response from him since. I stayed on for about a month, serving my 2 weeks resignation notice with the main company. During which, I learned that there was another staff who was in the same situation as I was. He was attended to by a different agent from the same company which makes me wonder if it was a standard practice within the agency to misrepresent or if it was just the agents. I have left the company however I am being charged by the agency under 'breach of contract' demanding compensation. I find this absurd as the agent had misrepresented and gave false assurance in regards to the job details in the first place. To all jobseekers who have been offered a job via STAR Recruitment, please be careful. They may seem cheerful and friendly on the outside but clearly lack integrity and morals. Do reconsider before signing the agreement with STAR Recruitment and try an alternate source if possible.

I would have given ZERO stars if it's possible. Extremely unprofessional, and even violated MOM policies where they leak personal information out to other Employment Agencies. They may seem cheerful and friendly on the outside but clearly lack integrity and morals. Go read all the negative Glassdoor reviews on this Star Recruitment agency, written by ex-employees. As stated, "Please shut down this unscrupulous company and stop creating problems for job seekers."

Hidden/unfair clauses not mention till the actual signing of the agency contract. No choice have to give up the job offered. One of my current colleague also shared her negative past experience with Star. Jobseekers who have been contacted or offered a job via Star, be cautious. They may seem sincere but clearly lack integrity. Do reconsider before signing.

William was really helpful, he worked hard to get me a role that I was looking for. He kept in touch with me through out the whole recruitment process, he put me forward for a role which he thought I would suit, got a call back for an interview the other day. After that we had a met up and he gave me advice for my interview and eventually I got offered the job all within 3 days of initially speaking to him. What I like is they made the whole process enjoyable and stress free. I would definitely recommend Star Recruitment and would use them again if needed.
