Went to Ghim Soon this afternoon and bought a secondhand sewing machine, Singer 8280 with them. A middle age lady, Monica attended to me. She was informative, well versed and knowledgeable in sewing machines. She coached me on the machine. This is a family business. The lady boss who is a relative of Monica was very warm and helpful. Actually today was my 2nd time to Ghim Soon to search for a home used sewing machine. Anyone who is interested of sewing machine in this shop, look for Monica ONLY. The young generations here do not seemed as helpful.

I brought my mum to get a new sewing machine on 21 April 2022. We were not sure of what to get. Monica served us and suggested that we get the Janome 2112. My mum was able to try the machine. Monica was also very patient and knowledgeable. We were told that they could only deliver the machine on Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered on the next day, instead.

Piya is very patient in explaining the features and functions of each machine. I get to try all the machines I'm interested before I decide on which machine to purchase. Happy that they are not very pushy. Bought my embroidery & sewing machine and overlocking machine from them previously. And now, I added a coverstitch machine and lotsa overlocking threads into my collection. ?

I recently purchased a Juki TL-2200QVP Mini from them. I brought my own materials and tested the machines at the shop. Piya was very patient and friendly, and was quickly able to determine which machine suited my needs. This saved me lots of time. She did a training session to guide me on how to use the machine and change the feet and settings. I was quite apprehensive at first as I was used to sewing on a computerised machine. The session really helped me gain confidence in using my new semi-industrial machine and I've been stitching through projects smoothly. Thanks Piya and everyone else at Ghim Soon!

Bought my first Janome MC400E embroidery machine and I must say this was such an awesome experience! The purchase came with a 2 hours 1:1 training with Piya and I must say she’s so patient and knowledgeable during the training. I left the training fully equipped with the necessary knowledge to operate my machine without having to refer to the manual. Piya and family was very warm and welcoming as well, offering drinks the moment we sat down. Thank you so much!! Am glad I found you guys! Highly recommended ??

Highly recommended! A shop offering a great variety of sewing machinery, accessories and sewing needs. Very friendly staff who are patient and helpful. I called in to check if they had stock and jio my friend to go down as she also wanted to get a new sewing machine. We ended up each taking home a machine. The promos were good and there were also discounts for sewing tools for new qualifying members. I bought a Janome HD 3000. I had a free box of Madeira thread. I was given time to try out on the machine before deciding to buy. Monica attended to me and informed me that I could arrange for a separate session to learn more about using the machine if nec. The attachment tablr was out of stock at the time of purchase. I paid for it and when the stock arrived, the staff contacted me for collection. When I could not make it to collect onsite, the staff arranged for it to be send by courier FOC! Definitely very happy with their services and will return whenever I need to purchase another machine! Location is convenient and there's convenience of HDB open carpark spaces.

I was eyeing the Janome 6700 for a while, finally went down to Ghim Soon at 11am on 18 Dec 2021 to test drive the machine. Monica was patient and helpful in answering my queries wrt the machine and sewing table, and Piya chipped in to help too. When I decided to buy the machine, and enquired on the delivery schedule, Monica spoke to Mr Tan and he was kind enough to agree to bring the set from their warehouse and deliver it to my residence (gave me a lift home too). By 2 pm that day I was playing with my new toy in the comfort of my home. It was a pleasure shopping at Ghim Soon, the Tan Family are helpful, friendly, and treated their customers very warmly. When the demo/ queries stretched into their lunch hour, I felt bad for imposing on them, but instead of showing displeasure or impatience at having their lunch time disturbed, Mrs Tan and Monica offered me lunch! So sweet and generous of them. I went back for my 1 on 1 machine training on 21 Dec 2021 with Piya. Piya is very patient and has good product knowledge of the machine, she showed me the various machine settings to get the desired effects and gave many tips on how to achieve better results with the machine. Bought a Juki HZL-LB5100 this morning 14 Apr 2022. Easy to use for beginners like me. Starting trying the cute pattern with a touch of buttons. Also purchase the accessories like Kai Scissors, needles and tweezer.
