★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I first sent an enquiry email to Studio Asobi, I wasn't expecting anything more than workshop dates and prices. Huiwen's very friendly and welcoming reply was enough for me to sign up for their regular classes and I never looked back. Every session has not only been filled with knowledge and skills, it's also piled with warmth and laughter. I love how I can explore and try new things under Kenneth and Huiwen's guidance and encouragement, I'm always looking forward to my next session! Studio Asobi is definitely more than a regular pottery studio in Singapore, highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Huiwen and Kenneth are really nice and knowledgeable! I enjoyed the retreat a lot - from talking to them, the other participants, and also furthering my journey in clay and in God. Would recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very lovely Saturday morning at Studio Asobi (: it was interesting to hear Huiwen & Kenneth share their love and passion for pottery - they were both also very generous and patient in guiding us through every step in creating our own pieces. Have gained more appreciation for the craft especially with the hands-on experience, will definitely be back again with some friends next time! (:

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a wonderful pleasure meeting Kenneth & Huiwen! Felt very welcome to their home studio and really appreciate them for sharing their passion for pottery & their journey to where they are at. One of my key takeaways was to rediscover the sense of wonder and play - that it is not just for children who posses a sense of wonder, but all of us no matter what age or stage of life we are, we are created with a sense of wonder to discover, to learn and to create! Thank you Kenneth & Huiwen for this simple yet deep reminder! ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was graced with the opportunity to attend the 1 day spiritual retreat. Huiwen and Kenneth were amazing hosts, facilitating not just the conversations among strangers, but also showing and helping us to also reflect as we shaped and played with the clay, molding it to our design.
The process of creating is delicate and deliberate, not just with the hands putting into form the designs of the mind, but the 'heart' has to be focused into the life of the piece. Hence, as He is the Potter and we are the clay, the amount of love he has poured into me, truly warrants Psalm 139:14: I praise God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and my soul knows it well.
I recommend signing up for it if you're feeling wearied and spiritually drained, and interested in a unique opportunity to connect with our Heavenly Father together with others, and learn more about yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did not expect myself to enjoy the experience so much.
As a child, I did not enjoy playing with plasticine or play-doh, because of how the medium would stick to my hands and has an unpleasant smell to me. And as much as clay leaves a residue in your hands, it is odourless and dry. Plus, for once, having clammy hands is a good thing ‘cos it keeps the clay moist during the hand-building process!
Kenneth and Huiwen were the most hospitable hosts and instructors. The workshop was immersive, experiential, but not stuffy nor intimidating. I felt warmth, invited, and free to learn and explore.
And eating from the vessel I created is extremely gratifying.
