The quality of their wooden furniture is poor, not only in the quality of the wood imported by them from Indonesia but also in the workmanship conducted by them in Singapore. In addition, the salespersons in Expo refused to follow up with our orders with their factory after we made the payment. Furthermore, many delivery guys in Summit House Pte Ltd do not know how to fix defects and simply ask customers to call their office. Moreover, some people in their office are not kind and eager to follow up our requests. In summary, I do not recommend the products and services of Summit House Pte Ltd.

I have a pleasant experience with Summit House. We purchased a Golden Rosa 6 seater dining set from The Expo. During our viewing, we were worried that the mahogany colour of the dining set will not match our minimalist white theme matte-coloured built in cupboards. After showing Albert the picture of our new place, he assured us he can lighten the colour dining set and make the texture as matte. We were delighted and placed order for the set. However, when I got home, I Googled the company and was a bit worried as the reviews were unpleasant. Two weeks later, we headed to their workshop at Defu Lane to chose the marble piece for the table top. As we are inexperienced on which marble to choose, Joseph patiently explained to us what are the things to look out. Patterns , crystal grain and colour. He also explained how the chairs are made and what are the pros & cons for each model. We reiterated to Johnny & Joseph our requirement on the lighter matte coloured set & they assured me they will try best to match as these are hard woods, making it matte may be a challenge. Johnny even request us to send him a photo of our built in cabinet. Items were delivered as promised and we were very pleased with the quality & the colour. A month later, my son accidentally dropped one of the chair on the floor & there was a crack. We messaged Johnny & Joseph and within minutes we received response that it can be repair. Johnny added that if we are self delivering and collecting it, they will not charge us. We have sent it for repair and Joseph explained to us how it is being repaired and it will be as good as new and Lead time for repair will be just a week. This shows that items are made to last and commendable excellent after sales service ??. We are extremely satisfied and I don’t think the bad Google reviews do them justice.

Try to avoid this company at all cost. they will make you lots of sweet promises before you purchase the item and they will even make you a 3 year guarantee promise. We purchased a furniture and within 2 months, massive cracks started appearing across the furniture to the point it will cause splinter injury if one accidentally brush against it without realising it. The company is pretty much useless when it comes to customer service. They are virtually not contactable. Whenever someone did answer the phone, an excuse is always given as to why the phone was not answered. We had heard that someone mother passed away, someone was admitted to hospital acutely, someone’s family fallen sick suddenly... All of these excuse within 1-2 months period. They eventually swapped the furniture for a one to one exchange in view of the damage and promised that the new furniture would not crack. When further asked about procedure adopted to dry the wood to prevent these damage in the future, we were told that the wood has only been cut down and dried naturally under sheltered area for 1 months prior to carpentry work. (Further research on this matter further down revealed that wood is usually kilns dry for much longer - up to 12 months period in order to prevent warping, shrinkage and other related problem due to moist wood.) We were told that the chance of the furniture showing such problem is minimal and according to their record, its about 5% (apparently). 6 weeks later, the two furniture that had a one to one swap both started showing massive cracks and this time, it’s worse than the first time round! We were told that if we were happy with the wooden furniture, we can choose to swap to a marble furniture to avoid this problem... Use this company at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

This is the worst company i have dealt with. Like other reviews said they promised everything during expo sales but delivered different thing. The dining table delivered and it is unstable. They ask us to give $50 to driver saying they will send our old dining table n chairs to poor families as charity. This $50 is aid of transport. My foot! They took the money and throw the furniture downstairs! Called to ofc so many times all denied responsibilities. From delivery man to sales to ofc admin and even the boss!! Its a terrible horrible company to deal with. Avoid at all cost!
