β β β β β Has limited seating in the minimalist set up currently, thus best to avoid peak hours on weekend especially if going in more than 2 pax (we went before 2pm on Saturday and managed to get 2 seats om bench without waiting, and left just before 3pm to see a queue outside). The Suzuki Original was good according to hubby who usually drank black coffee, felt that it was served at the right temperature, and great for someone who doesn't want something too strong/bitter. I liked the iced Kyoto Uji Matcha too (highly recommended by staff when I couldn't decide cold or hot version), the taste of the milk infused with matcha powder was perfect at least for my taste buds.
Only things on wish list:
the aircon can be a tad cooler; more comfortable seating options (they are all in wood); if only has fresh Japanese mochi as desserts to go with the coffee. :)

β β β β β The atmosphere and environment was very enjoyable!
Downside is the price - paid around $30 for 2 coffees ($9 and $9) and 2 snack items. The dorayaki was quite ordinary.
Would go back once in awhile, but the price tag is too hefty to visit offen.

β β β β β Went on a weekday around 4pm. Had the hot houjicha latte and felt it was too powdery. We coughed due to the powder. Matcha latte was better but could be richer in taste. Perhaps we should have tried coffee as its name suggested. No parking on site.

β β β β β We were excited to visit this two-storey Japanese cafe with Kyoto vibes which is secluded in Jurong. There was a queue and we were served a cup of cold brew coffee while waiting. What a sweet gesture :β)
Drinks are on the pricier side - from $8 to $10 per cup.

β β β β β Japanese style coffee place located in an industrial area. A lot of coffee, matcha and hojicha drink options. Thatβs about all on the menu. Ordered a long black coffee blend, a hojicha latte and matcha fizz. The long black was really bitter (not in a pleasant way) and the hojicha was powdery. The fizz drink was pretty alright. I would say itβs a nice one time dine in experience, but the drinks were just alright for a location isnβt very accessible.
When we arrived, we were told waiting time was 15mins - 1 hour. Seats are limited. I would still say the service was pleasant and the cafe interior is really well done.

β β β β β Came on a weekday afternoon and there were no sitting area available. Just be aware that there is no parking at the coffeehouse so you might need to park down the road and walk. Ordered the Ethiopian and the houjicha. The Ethiopian was very fragrant and has a nice fruity tang. Just donβt add sugar as the acidity of the drink becomes more pronounced. The houjicha was very thick and dense. Itβs not my type of houjicha but if you love your houjicha with strong and dense flavours this would be a houjicha for you. The houjicha is also on the more bitter side so those who prefer less sugar to no sugar, this would be perfect for you. Itβs also on a more grainy side and I prefer my houjicha to be lighter. Just be wary, to drink the houjicha with a full tummy as it may cause gastric.

β β β β β Come on weekdays if you want to experience the zen atmosphere of the kyoto cafe vibe. However the drinks were disappointing. Tried the cappuccino and matcha latte but both were milky and not up to standard. $8 for a cup of hot drink is definitely overpriced. Staffs had a not-bothered attitude and it doesnβt reflect on the whole Japanese concept. For a cafe that boasts to be a roastery, the coffee experience wasnβt fulfilling. Not worth the trip down and not going back for sure.

β β β β β No parking at their premises, drove all the way here and we had to park at the roadside further up the road.
Vibe is 7/10 feels a little bit like Kyoto.
Coffee was okay. The red bean snack we bought was 8 dollars and tbh it was nothing special. Likely a one time thing for me!
