SwimShark - 531A Upper Cross Street Hong Lim Complex

The owner of this school, Matthew Oratis, enrolled his son in my swim school just down the road from the condo's pools that SwimShark teaches in (his son is currently enrolled at the date of posting, though on overseas leave according to the note he entered into our portal). My team called me at the time to ask our stance on this enrolment. As a mother myself, I understood that it is often best to have your children taught by independent coaches so Matthew Oratis and his son were welcomed into our community. I, myself, have had my son train with another swim school five years ago for the same reason. To this day, I have a great working relationship with the owner of that swim school - because there was never a doubt that I would act with anything but integrity. I have recently become aware that Matthew Oratis is directly targeting my staff - personal messages offering them jobs at SwimShark (I would not post this without proof). This shows a complete and utter lack of integrity, and puts our staff into a really uncomfortable position. He has targeted both coaching and customer service staff. I can type this review comfortably knowing that I have never stooped to this level in all my years of building my business the hard way. It is one thing to be a fun coach, but another entirely to have a good business character. Please cease and desist Matthew Oratis - and do not seek retribution against my lovely team members. They already feel uncomfortable enough.

Matt and Luca are wonderful coaches, the sessions are focussed but fun and I have seen great progress in my kids swimming. The SwimShark set up is very organised and reliable and I’d wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

Just the BEST swimming lessons in Singapore for your kids !!! Coach Matt is super fun and very experimented ! One of our daughters (5yo) was very afraid of the water (even in the bath) and now she loves swimming and jumping in the water. She's super confident. Our other daughter (7yo) learnt very quickly all technics taught by Coach Matt and is now a very good swimmer. Many thanks Coach Matt !

My 2 daughters have been learning to swim with Coach Matt for almost a year now and they absolutely love the swimming lessons with him. My oldest was a very nervous swimmer and not confident in the water, but now she’s like a fish and we can’t get her out of the pool! The difference in her swimming capabilities since she started with coach Matt is amazing - he is a fantastic teacher and I would highly recommend the lessons.

Coach Matt engages the toddlers with colourful toys, catchy tunes and words of encouragement during each swim class. He also sees the needs of each child and tries to spur them on to the next level with his coaching. Each session is a fun and vibrant one! Highly recommended!

Although it was only a short term engagement for my son to correct his techniques and he really enjoy learning from coach Matt. Coach is very professional and he is very enthusiastic and make learning swimming very fun for my son. We are so glad to have met you coach! Thank you from the bottom of our heart!

Coach Matt has done such a brilliant job teaching my 4 year old daughter to swim. She is now extremely confident to swim and jump into the pool and is developing her strokes. She loves swimming and Coach Matt makes the lessons fun whilst also teaching them the correct techniques. Matt has an extremely calm and friendly manner , he is excellent with the children and Sophie always looks forward to the sessions. Would highly recommend Coach Matt and team, I am so pleased to see how well Sophie has done and am really impressed with how well she can swim now. Thanks Matt!

Our kids have loved sessions with the coaches at swim shark! We have two children who were afraid of water before attending lessons with coach Matt and over the past two years, their confidence has developed immensely. They love the lessons and have a new love for swimming. Both my kids can now swim confidently and are improving after each lesson. Highly recommend swim sharks swim school! Matt is a spectacular coach and is fabulous with the kids. Our son can be very stubborn and Matt was able to work with this and get him involved and on task. He is a very hard working and passionate coach!
