Fish soup is decent but service was brusque, which kind of marred an otherwise ok experience for me sadly. Uncle seems to have been traumatised by other customers in the past, and kept turning around to tell me not to leave the queue after placing my order (even though I was standing there quietly to wait for my food).

Light and tasty fish soup from TG Fish Porridge. I ordered the fish soup ($5) and rice (50c) from the store and service was speedy. The fish soup was light and refreshing and it did not leave one feeling thirsty from drinking copious amounts of soup. There were 11 medium sized fish slices in the soup and they were fresh, chunky and substantial. Served alongside some lettuce, bits of salted vegetables, seaweed and some fried shallots, it was a hearty meal as I slurped up my last drop of the soup. One gripe, however, was the placement of the spoon on the chili soy sauce, causing you to have a spicy kick when you first drink the soup. Despite that, this stall is still highly recommended if you desire an affordable, fuss free soup experience!

Haig road food has many interesting variety when it comes to food,& tg (Teo guan) sliced fish porridge is worth a mention here.traditonal teochew style fish soup served with lots of fried (flat fish),it's packed with flavor from the batang fish.?

Fresh fish and taste of the light savory fish soup is fantastic. This stall has been running for years and the soup is still as good......very tasty and one would love to finish up every drop.
