Went early and there was only a short queue. Pay to take a order number and they will call your order number when food is ready. Bought the signature bowl. Noodles was ok and ingredients were quite alot but having tried the hill street branch i felt that this soup was not as tasty and intense. Will still prefer the hill street branch

Honestly I still prefer the noodle from Hong Lim food centre. There seems to be something missing with their noodles. The taste differs from the Hong Lim branch. They added much ingredients though. But overall still delicious.

The signature dried pork noodle wasn't as sumptuous as what the recent CNA editor had boasted (maybe because it's not the stall at Chai Chee?). I had tried better ones if you are following my SG eating guide here on Google, but that was a soup one. To be fair, I will go to their original store and try the soup Pak Chor Mee and will update you all again my findings.

Paid $5 for a bowl of pork noodle dry. The pork slices and pig liver were soft tender. The vinegar taste was just right. But the noodles were hard and stick together in a lump. The pork dumpling skin was thick. Service was slow as I waited 20 minutes although there was only 1 person in front of me in the queue.

Background: I've patronised both Tai Wah Pork Noodle @ Hong Lim and my once-favourite Tai Hwa Pork Noodle @ Crawford for many years. Visited this outlet on a Thurs afternoon ~1pm and waited for about 20 minutes and ordered the $9 signature bowl without liver. Tai Wah/Hwa noodles have a very strong vinegar taste, but I felt the vinegar taste at this outlet overwhelms the chilli, sauce and overall noodle taste. It's like eating vinegar noodles. The noodles (I ordered mee kia) was ok - it's springy and not lumpy. The meatball, pork slices and minced pork was ok. The soup was oily and felt more salt-y than tasty from the pork broth. The dumpling skin was tough and felt more frozen than home made. At least the fried flat fish was crispy. I might pay $3-4 for this, but definitely not $9.

Been out-stationed in Malaysia for 8 months, so couldn't wait to dive into a bowl of delicious BCM when I reached home in Singapore. Since under SHN, I had the Mee Pok Dry from Tai Wah (Teck Ghee Evergreen) delivered. Even though I had accepted the fact that the experience wouldn't be as great when compared to one that's consumed at the stall, and I had 打包 one before from the Hong Lim flagship, which surprisingly was still delicious, I didn't expect this one to be just an average bowl of BCM. ? The Mee Pok was soggy to the bite, and the entire porky ensemble of Mee Pork, loin, mince, liver, 4 meat balls, 2 fish wantons and crispy fish was extremely SALTY. The seaweed soup was copiously SALTY, even after I had added an equal amount of water to reduce the saltiness. At best this BCM was just average, and definitely not worth the hefty $8.60 and $4.50 price tags I paid, respectively for the BCM and seaweed soup. Sorely, sorely, sorely DISAPPOINTED! ???

Tai Wah's got the Michelin Bib gourmand, so we decided to try it again at their outlet in AMK. Ordered a large ($7) dry pork noodle takeaway. Didn't find it particularly outstanding compared to before, and to their other outlets. Or to other kopitiam pork noodle stalls for that matter! The noodle is sticky and clumpy. Still, it's a meal, though a little overpriced considering the quantity, the quality (taste), and the type of location (heartlands kopitiam). Just my 2 cents. Check it out for yourself!

This bowl of noodles tastes great, with a lot of ingredients. Portion is good at a reasonable price (there was a $1 discount at this outlet). My husband loves the soup that comes with it so much that he asked if they sell just the soup with the pork balls. I was hoping for more vinegar taste to it but it’s okay. The spice made up for it. Will return again
