Very reasonable pricing & yet quality is maintained. If you are in the neighbourhood. Give it a try. Recommended.

I visited this during the Chinese New Year period. Hua Long occupies the space within a standard food court within a HDB development. I am made to understand that the steamboat is one of its famed dishes. In the picture, the steamboat contraption is the item which looks like a doughnut. Charcoal is used to keep the dish hot. There is a very pleasant smoky flavour to broth, which I believe is from the charring of some of the ingredients like ginger, before it is introduced into the dish. I had multiple bowls of soup. The soup is refilled by the operator once it is low. Other dishes that I would recommend are the curry fish head which goes very well with little fried man tou (it is quite rich, so if you don’t fancy such flavors, it may not be to your taste) and the cereal prawns (prawns were de-shelled, and was succulent). Service was also very quick. We started getting dishes very shortly after placing our order. Total meal came up to about SGD 25 per head.

Comfort food to eat on a rainy day. Thick slices of fish, sweet crunch cabbage and flavourful soup! The yam slices cooked in the soup are also very yummy?

Preferred the tomato-based fish soup as compared to the original one. However, it tasted more like sardine instead of tomato. Nonetheless, it's comfort food. The beehoon was nice. I don't think I'll be going back specially just for this though. Just good enough for an one-time experience.

The white bee hoon is a must try. Tie pan tofu can opt for spicy or non spicy. Tried the spinach soup as well but average. Overall, white bee hoon wins hands down!

Easy to reserve via Quandoo, it's located at a bustling coffeeshop and was rather hygienic. The fish soup itself was less flavourful compared to the one at Whampoa Keng, but some may enjoy it better as it's less gelat. All the other tze char dishes were YUM including the marmite chicken, tofu with chaipo, and salted egg squid. Don't get the 3 egg spinach as it's too watery. We spent 20$ each for the entire meal - value for money!!!!

Came for the fish head steamboat, one pot can serve 4 to 5 pax, soup base not very thick though (better than normal fish soup). Surprisingly the melon shrimp ball come with wasabi salad ? very nice try.
